  1. Hugo, can we talk about the triune nature of the Godhead? This is a really central tenant of the Biblical faith.

    • It is indeed and I’ve had that on my mind and prayer for Hugo and others who are struggling with all the corruption in the church and then seeing the Trinity as a catholic doctrine, which it is NOT. Way back in Exodus when the Lord appeared to Moses in the burning bush – the Angel of the Lord (pre-incarnate Jesus) and the Father are BOTH in the passage – read and pray over, asking the Holy Spirit to guide. Hebrews even wrote about the ‘Two powers of God’ throughout the OT. So many NT passages confirm the personal nature of the Spirit, divinity of Jesus. The Lord God from eternity past had agape, stoige, phileo loves between the three persons of the Trinity. One God, who is more like a family than an individual person. Mind blowing concept even after 35 years as a believer. “It is not good for man to be alone” – we NEED each other, the Lord God was complete before angels or humanity. All beauty, truth and love originate from the Lord – that isn’t possible unless He is much more than we are – even or especially in His personhood. The Infinite Personal God – read CS Lewis or Francis Schaeffer on the subject and study the Word of God. It isn’t easy, but worth the struggle.

We have already dealt with this

I will try to explain it in painfully simplistic terms just for you. Imagine a circle, The Father is the upper half of the circle and The Son is the lower half of the circle. The circumference of the circle is the Holy Ghost, a radiant force that GOD The Father AND GOD The Son can send to be witness on the Earth, hence three that bear WITNESS. ONLY The Father can send The Son. The Son can not send The Father. BOTH The Father AND The Son can send the Holy Ghost, The Holy Ghost has no power to send anyone it is purely the unseen essence of GOD (Ghost) sent to guide, teach and watch and DEFINATLY NOT A PERSON!

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
        John 1, 1-3

5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
        John 17, 5

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
        John 17, 24

        To WITNESS

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
        1 John 5, 7

Now read the following VERY carefully

13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

*100% PROOF the Holy Ghost is the spiritual representative of GOD The Father and Son and NOT A PERSON!

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of TWO MEN is true.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
        John 8, 13-18

So not a person as Christ Jesus list only TWO of the three as men.

        Rob said “read CS Lewis”

You mean the well known occultist and satanist?

  2. I’d not be very eager to assert what the original meaning of the word “raká” means or whether the word “fool” is very accurate translation of it, but let’s assume it is. To me, ‘The Fool’ in biblical sense (not modern day dictionary), is someone who is the opposite of ‘wise’. Not somebody stupid, idiot or ignorant, but someone lacking “sense”, lacking the wisdom to differentiate good and evil, right or wrong… Those who deliberately choose ‘the evil’ and ‘the wrong’ are no fools at all, but something more sinister.
Looking at the story of the maidens and the lanterns, the same word was used (in the orthodox Bible), it’s ‘foolish’ in KJV for whatever reason, though ‘unwise’ is rather more suited… One can notice, that more often then not it is used as an antonym of ‘wise’ throughout the Bible, not as someone who intentionally disobeys God. The maidens didn’t take enough oil, not because they wanted to run out of it in the middle of the night, but because they were not wise.
Ultimate, yes – whether someone is wise or unwise only God can tell and will tell at the end.

    Kind Regards

  3. Nowadays most people in the West think that anyone who believes in God is “away with the fairies” but as Jesus said “Only believe” and things start to become clear. For example the concept of evil people going to hell could be parallel to a situation when a farmer has a rotten harvest it would be thrown on the fire. Some are motivated to turn to God when a situation is desperate. Other cultures believe in a god but don’t believe that Jesus was the Messiah and the Son who mediates between God the Father and human kind and who sacrificed his life in atonement for the sins of the world. As the Apostle Paul said, the fruit of the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost) is joy.
