What Is The Holy Ghost? Trinity / Hugo Talks

  1. Read the scriptures to have the exact writing of the Holy Ghost ■ if you sin against the Holy Ghost, there is no forgiveness; warning, warning. M

    • It is very technically “blasphemy” against the Holy Spirit. . .in context we can see that this is about attributing the indwelling and miraculous works of the Holy Spirit to the Devil. It is very specific. Mark 3:22-30, Matthew 12:22-32.

  2. The holy spirit is a totally separate entity because it is sent by God, it can’t be 1 in 3 in that case, and that adds greater argument to it being God’s divine active force.

      • Rudolf Berki

        Yes

        Greeting brother

God the majestic title of The Father and The Son, The Holy Spirit the unseen force of God.

Father and Son together since the beginning, GOD, the Holy Spirit is the spiritual force of God. The Word and The Father are separate parts of the whole and when The Father made The Word flesh he was truly giving his only son to sacrifice with all the pains and temptations of the flesh, to remove OUR built up sins and make Jew and Gentile equal.

Separation of knowledge is impossible if The Father is ALSO The Son.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but MY FATHER ONLY.
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
        Matthew 24, 35-37

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
        Genesis 1:26-28

21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
22 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
        30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
        Proverbs 8

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
        John 1:1

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
        John 15, 9-10

The Father does not love himself, he loves his son, as my children were and still are part of me.

1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was
        John 17, 1-5

  3. Wise observations, Hugo. An ex-Roman Catholic myself, and now an unchurched Christian of many years, I am a wretched sinner who God called to be reconciled to Himself — through Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom there is no longer any condemnation, only redemption.

I too, have begun to shed the confines of the trinitarian template, as taught by institutionalised Christendom. Christ Jesus is the Arm of the Lord (Isaiah 53) and thus is indeed God, just as is the Spirit, just as is the Father, but only as revealed in scripture. Man’s convoluted trinitarian formula is lacking, and cannot properly ‘explain’ God.

Your videos (including the beautiful song you wrote and performed — such serene chord progressions and arrangement!) are a blessing tp the body of Christ, and bring glory to God, whop is worthy of all praise and honour.

  4. Is it proper to call Holy Spirit a holy ghost? A spirit can be holy, can a ghost be holy?

    • Is it proper to call God’s presence holy? I believe the answer to be, yes. Since God is the holiest being in the universe, so is His presence, or Spirit.

  5. Yes, the trinity is a false pagan doctrine. Also, it is true, that the Holy Spirit can’t save us simply because it is not a separate divine being from the Father and the Son; only Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, who is our Lord and Saviour and died for us on the cross, can save us. In Scripture we find two distinct divine and separate beings: God, the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, (John 14:1; 17:3 and 1 Corinthians 8:6); and of the Holy Spirit the Scripture tells us that it is the Spirit of the Father and of the Son; that’s the very presence and mind of God and of Jesus Christ (Psalm 139:7 and Philippians 2:5). When Jesus said, “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? …” (John 14:10), He referred to the Spirit, meaning they are one in Spirit, or the are of one mind. Jesus said the same thing of His disciples, I quote, “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” (John 17:23)

The Scripture clearly tells us that God has sent His only begotten Son into our world to die for man to save the human race, (John 3:16-17; Hebrews 1:6 and 1 John 4;9); God can only send someone He has, and someone He doesn’t.

    • Last paragraph correction:

The Scripture clearly tells us that God has sent His only begotten Son into our world to die for man to save the human race, (John 3:16-17; Hebrews 1:6 and 1 John 4;9); God can only send someone He has, and NOT someone He doesn’t.

  6. Very true I am at peace now I am with God’s family I feel a warm peaceful veil over me keeping me calm
    Thank Hugo
    It’s a truly lovely song thank u

  7. The Trinity isnt actually in the bible. It was formulated as a fundemental doctrine of Christianity at the Council of Nicaea in AD325. Eventually incorporated into the Apostles Creed in AD341, which is a statement of faith defining the fundemental beliefs of a Christian. This was considered necessary because at that time there were many diverse Christian beliefs. Its also interesting to note that the New Testament canon consisting of 27 books wasn’t formulated until AD397. This excluded many gospels and texts in use at that time. There are 52 Gnostic Gospels known today. The Roman emperor Constantine made Christianity a legal religion in AD313 thus ending Christian persecution. Eventually under emperor Theodosius in AD380 the official religion of the Roman Empire.

  8. John 16:7-9. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove (convince/convict) the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Without the Holy Spirit’s conviction, I would have never been saved because Jesus went away, to prepare a place for me. In fact, if I had not heeded the Holy Spirit’s conviction, I am convinced my conscience would have been seared and I would have been lost forever. Praise Jesus Christ that was not the case.

    • Jesus told us who the Comforter is, the Comforter is Himself, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (John 14:18)

  9. Just been talking with my best friend about faith, and I tried to explain it to him this way about what you said.
You are David but you are more than David, you are many but one. You are David, you are David the son,David the brother,David the friend,David the uncle,David the cousin, but you are not seperate David’s. My friend said that I get. One God, not 3 seperate God’s.

  10. Thank you Hugo. May God protect and keep you, in Jesus’ name. Amen. C

  11. Who is t8ge Holy Spirit? He is the third person in the Trinity. He was there at creation and sustains it. He is restraining the anti Christ, He is the power and presence of God and Jesus manifest on earth and in us. He transforms us as we read God’s Word. He helps us and counsels us. He is the power that heals and delivers us. He brings us to salvation. God Is with us by His Spirit. Its His Spirit that dwells in us. He grows the fruits of the SpirIt in us. He helps us to pray and to hear from God. Its the Holy Spirit who helps us to walk with God. Its the Holy Spirit who empowers us, cleanses us and sanctified us. The Word, the Blood and the Spirit work together. 🙌🙌🙌

    • There is no third person in the trinity simply because the trinity doesn’t exist; the trinity doctrine is a false pagan doctrine.

In Psalm 33:6-9 we read, I quote,

“6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

According to Scripture, the Spirit of God that “moved upon the face of the waters” in Genesis 1:2 is the presence, word, that’s the breath or life giving power of God. The psalmist said that by “the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth”, and not by another mysterious being. The psalmist also said that God “spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast” which is very much in line with Genesis 1:3 which reads, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”

  12. I like the picture of the ants, and I don’t… The ant isn’t made in our image. But we are made in the image of God. The way I see it, we are trinitarian in nature as well. People are willing to say we have “mind, body, and soul”. I think this is, in a sense, close to what God is… The Father the mind, Jesus the body, and Holy Spirit the soul. If we think about what makes up a person, it is their thoughts, physical presence, and will/wants/desires expressed commonly as word. Jesus is the Word made flesh. The Word being the Holy Spirit. In the beginning was the Word… You don’t get to know another person until you communicate with them, until you “connect” with their spirit. By the same token, I don’t think you can get to know God until you communicate with him, by reading his Word, and by praying and listening. It is how we abide in Christ, by maintaining that connection. When God’s wants become our wants, it is then that he abides in us, and we can bear fruit.

I very much appreciate that you don’t see the trinity as 3 separate persons in one, I really don’t like that phrase… Thanks.

    • You reminded me: “You are my disciples IF you continue in my Word”. If anyone says don’t read the Bible, or speaks negatively about it, you know they are false. I love the hymn, WONDERFUL WORDS OF LIFE. Sing them over again to me…wonderful words of life…it’s his image…and the word was God….the devil makes his image known in his lying words, lying books…false “bibles” & cunningly devised/created fables. Books teaching forbidden practices, secrets not meant for us know (the secret things belong to god), Thanks for sharing. Bless you.

    • Absolutely agree with this. Those who believe they have a soul understand its place together with mind and body inseparable in one being. The Holy message does reach a broken spirit however; a sacrifice acceptable to God. Christianity is for sinners. Thanks Hugo

  13. Wow! Amazingly thought provoking and Holy Ghost inspired. I do not know why I never considered the word “trinity” brought about by the Roman Catholics or some other “religious” sect as another means to divide the family of believers and create distraction.

  14. I love ants, thanks for bringing them up!! and I only believe the ONE who can make me just ONE ant out of dust ;o)

  15. I think God( Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) saved us when we believed the gospel, which is 1 Corinthians 15:1-3, 15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

We must believe the gospel to be saved, obviously. I must say I don’t totally understand, how God communicates with himself expressed in the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, but 1 John does say these three are one. I think from my understanding scripture it seems like God, the father sent step 1(John 3:17“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.) Jesus was like you said, became a made and was the atonement for our sin, Philippians 2:6, 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross, and 1 John 2:2 – And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Step 3, Believe in Jesus and receive the Holy Spirit, (Ephesians 1:13 King James Version 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

So, I think there was an order to God’s plan for our Salvation. The Holy Spirit, which is Jesus living in us, keeps us until the redemption of the purchased possession. So it isn’t blasphemy to say only the Holy Spirit can save you, it seems like it could be misunderstood about how he saves you. I still really loved the song and I was thinking the holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, so in that respect He plays a role in saving you by telling the gospel is true and you should believe it.

  16. In Revelation Jesus is speaking for GOD when he says he is Alpha and the Omega and not applying that to himself….read the context wit this in mind and you will see what I mean

  17. Hugo, you have a wonderful way of explaining things, and it all makes perfect sense!

  18. The trinity is simply a lie (not found in the Bible) added by Catholicism which is an organization known for lies and misdirection and so called protestant churches follow right along with this false teaching.

  19. Jesus told us…the Father would send the Holy Spirit in His (Jesus) name.

  20. John 4, Jesus said God is Spirit, not 3 persons and one is a ghost. John 14 Jesus said he was “one with” God. He would leave them but send the “spirit of truth” to guide us in all things. Thy kingdom came but 300 years later, organizations led by man said kingdom doesnn’t come until after you die and pay your tithes and follow rules. They say heaven is a place men can go to but John 3:13, Jesus said “No man” ever went to heaven. Hell is state we are born in since Adam and heaven is when we live for the King

  21. It says in the Bible, there is only one name under heaven given to men by which they must be saved.

  22. Matthew 24:36
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the Son, but the Father only.

    Matthew 26:39

My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me, yet not as I will, but as Thou will.

    John 5:26

For as the Father has life in Himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.

    John 5:30

By myself, I can do nothing: I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who has sent me.

    John 5:19

The Son can do nothing by himself

    Mark 10:18

Why do you call me good? No one is good, except God alone.

    John 14:28

The Father is greater than I.

    8. Matthew 6:9

Our Father, which art in Heaven.

    9. Matthew 27:46

My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?

    10. John 17:21-23

That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me, and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me

    11. 1 Corinthians 15:27-28

For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

    12. Hebrews 1:3

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being.

    13. Hebrews 4:15 (compared with James 1:13)

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet without sin.

    James 1:13:
When tempted, no one should say, God is tempting me. for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt.

    14. Hebrews 5:7-9

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

    In Mark 3:35
Jesus said: “Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother “

    • Yes,but there are many verses that display Jesus as a servant. And this is why the Father seems like He’s greater. But the scriptures tell us Jesus is equal to God but BECAME a servant. He took on the role of a servant to sacrifice Himself and to show us how to serve God.

      Philippians 2:6-10

6 Who, being in very nature God,
      did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
      being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
      he humbled himself
      by becoming obedient to death—
      even death on a cross!

So when you hear about Jesus not doing His own work, but doing the work of the Father….it’s not because He’s lesser, it’s because He’s operating in the role of a servant that He willfully took on. God bless you.

  23. Jesus refers to the Holy Ghost as “he” several times. There is no “he” unless “he” is a separate person from “me”. Jesus taught we must receive baptism in the Holy Spirit to be born again. Without baptism in the Holy Ghost there is no salvation.

Jesus refers to The Father who sent him. That’s a separate person as well.

Jesus also said there is only one God.

So do the three separate persons, The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost, meld to make one God?

I think this is a mystery. One we can’t understand fully or answer because we have no reference point of comparison or understanding how this could work here on the terrestrial earth.

We have to accept God’s wisdom in His creation and know that someday we will understand as He has promised we will.

We don’t need to figure everything out. Because simply put, some things are beyond our understanding. We only need to accept them as truth. Why? Because Jesus told us so.

    • I don’t think it’s so complicated. Man is a Trinity as well. We have a body, a soul and a spirit….and all are separate, but still you. Jesus said the body AND soul can be destroyed in Hell. And the Holy Spirit can divide the souls, spirit.
Yet the soul is not the body, the body is not the spirit, nor is the spirit the soul. And your body can operate independent of your spirit….same as the soul. Salvation seems to be about your Spirit being made alive and all three lining up in agreement with the spirit. Y’know what I mean?
The Father, Son and Spirit are all One in agreement.

  24. Hugo, Jesus is not God. Jesus is not God manifested in human flash. No. That is another false teaching many people get deceiced by denying the literal Father Son relationship. That is antichrist.

Jesus is actually the Son of God!
The gospel declares that God so loved… that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16). The measure of God’s love for humanity is manifested in the gift of His only begotten Son (1John 4:9). If, therefore, Jesus Christ is not, truly, the only begotten Son of God, then God did not sacrifice as much as is presented to us; and if He did not sacrifice as much, then , He did not so love after all.

So critical is this issue that it determines who is antichrist. “He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.” 1 John 2:22.

The Scriptures are absolutely clear that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. Jesus declared “I proceeded forth and came from God.” John 8: 42. Of Christ, “the wisdom of God” (1 Cor. 1:24)
It is also declared Jesus was with God in the beginneng, before the eart was:

“The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;” Prov. 8:22-30.

  25. About the Trinity…

“The Trinity declares that there is one God, a single Being who is simultaneously Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This idea immediately creates confusion as to who is the God that gave His Son and who was the Son that was given. Indeed, it raises a question as to whether it was really a Son that was given. This is nothing else but denying the only true God, and our Lord Jesus Christ against which we have been warned.

Furthermore, if God is a Trinity and Jesus Christ is, therefore, himself the Supreme Being or he is co-equal with the Supreme Being, then it implies that Jesus did not truly die. The Supreme Being is described as the one “Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see.” 1Tim. 6:15,16. If such applied to Jesus then he did not truly die, but was very much alive while foisting a delusion on humanity, thus making all our professions about the death and resurrection of Christ mere vanity and illusion.

The Bible is clear as to who is the One God. “But to us there is but one God, the Father” (1 Cor. 8:6).

The Bible is clear as to who is the only begotten Son of the One God; “and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3).

The Bible is clear that the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, is related to God in the same way that the spirit of man is related to man; “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even sothe things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God” (1 Cor. 2:11). The Holy Spirit is therefore not an inanimate force; neither is the Holy Spirit a distinct and separate consciousness from JEHOVAH Himself. Rather, the Holy Spirit is an integral aspect of JEHOVAH’S own being. Hence, when one grieves the Holy Spirit, it is JEHOVAH Himself that is grieved and not someone else.

The Bible is clear as to who are the only two Beings in the universe to whom worship is due; “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Rev. 21:22. It is clear that the Lord God Almighty is not the same Being as the Lamb, even though the Lamb is worshipped alongside the Lord God Almighty. The reason for this is that the Lamb is the only begotten Son of the Lord God Almighty and it is the will of the Father that His Son should likewise be worshipped; John 5:22, 23.

JEHOVAH is divine. His only begotten Son could not be other than divine also. “……the great mistake of Trinitarians, in arguing this subject is this: they make no distinction between a denial of a Trinity and a denial of the divinity of Christ. They see only the two extremes, between which the truth lies; and take every expression referring to the pre-existence of Christ as evidence of a Trinity. The Scriptures abundantly teach the pre-existence of Christ and his divinity; but they are entirely silent in regard to a trinity” –J.H. Waggoner, Review and Herald. Nov.10, 1863.”

  26. most of the cults deny the trinity or add to it like Mary or Muhomed or whathaveu

  27. ” . . . and these three are ONE”. Trinitarians read this as “. . . and these three are three.” That’s polytheism, no way around it. You get it , Hugo!! You’re an inspiration to this old Christian.

  28. I agree, I have changed so much and effortlessly! used to love rock and roll and horror movies, now I cant stand listening to that same music

  29. 2 John 5:7 in the NKJV, gives us the relationship between Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I do not claim to understand it but I believe it. It is a relationship of love.
