2 Corinthians 10 v 3- 6 is a favourite passage for me. It is important that we capture our wrong thoughts that lead us into the slippery path of mental disturbance/ill health, or into committing heinous crimes because we indulged in hateful thoughts etc. Then we must fix our eyes and our hearts on Jesus!
Thank you Hugo for your talks.
It has been so encouraging to see how your faith and understanding have grown exponentially in such a short time.
God go with you as you share further, as the Lord leads.

Make sure we know the God we are worshipping ?, many so called christian songs and poems are new age crap and used by many false religions to define their gods…these so called christians wont mention the Lord Jesus Christ in their songs for fear of backlash and its all about money in the end of the day…..
@JohnM, “Make sure we know the God we are worshipping”
I agree, JohnM. Unfortunately, the late Dr. Bonar, as a Reformed theologian, believed that Jesus is “God the Son”, as well as the “Son of God”, so it seems he did not know the God he worshiped. He did not understand the verse you shared from 1 Corinthians 8. I know the God I worship, but if I analyzed every author for perfection, I would have to restrict myself to only the Bible. I agree with the Reformed community’s slogan “Solo Scriptura” as my final Authority, but can also glean a helpful hint, food for thought, correction or encouragement from any “messenger” (a/k/a “angel” in the Bible), even if Jesus’ name is not specified.
@ RM Hughes, You’re welcome. FYI, These types of gems are scarce these days. They can be found in these 365-day classic devotionals:
Daily Strength for Daily Needs – Compiled by Mary Tileston

Streams in the Desert – L. B. Cowman
I recommend the King James version. From the “Daily Strength” description: “Through some of the most inspirational words of famous Christian writers, such as Jeanne Guyon, St. Augustine, Hannah Whitall Smith, William Law, Charles Wesley and George MacDonald…”. Each day’s devotion starts out with a verse from the Bible. I spotted “Daily Strength” on a co-worker’s desk a few years ago, a long time after first reading it, and it was like being reunited with many old friends.

AGAPE – self-sacrificing love, the Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. Jn 15:13, while we were yet enemies Christ died for us. AGAPE is the very summary of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Caritas is love too. “If you have not charity… “ The opposite of death is birth not life. Life is the only thing that has no opposite which enables it to be eternal. Thanks Hugo.
Sounds great but in reality how does one love his neighbor when his neighbor is killing, enslaving, destroying, thieving, the entire world and all that is in it?
I have to be honest, my love has waxed cold in recent years and I try as hard as I can but cannot do it.
Jesus Christ was crusified, but still he said to Almighty God, please forgive them, for they no, what they do, this is Real Love… For a shepherd to lay down his Life for the sheep… If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord & Saviour, ask Jesus Christ to reveal himself to you, and He will… Then you will understand True Love and you then, will be complete…

Family! Family! Is love!
Gift from God….
The feminists, Liberals, communists… Hate family!
And try and divide us with equality of everything….
Which is impossible.. There is no equality on earth….
There is rich, poor, begger en,, thief…. But we are all equal in God’s eyes….
We have lost sight of God’s moral order….
Father is the head, mother is the heart of the family….
Feminists hate this! Want to destroy God’s moral order…… Wife should be subservient to her husband.. Man leads women follow..
Women think with their hearts.. Man with his head…
Man was not made from women, but women from man… To be his helper…
This is why satanic society promotes women into positions of power over men… All intentional! To humiliate men!!
Look at TV presenters all women (most ethnics)….
People have no idea the evil that controls us and why….
Truth is truth!! Sometimes it hurts to admit how stupid and ignorant we have been…
Not everyone is (nice) some have chosen darkness….
Fame and fortune….
Jesus tells us be wise as serpents, but innocent as doves… ”
It is easy to fall into their traps…. Very good at wearing masks…. And hiding behind charities….
” Holy lamb of God was slain so we could be free from death…. Ultimate sacrifice!
His love is a river and I will wash myself in this and live
forever… His love is deeper than an ocean… We all must become samaritans.. Who were the least of people… But knew how to give help to a stranger…. While the priest and the levite (deacon) walk on by…. There is the lesson for us all…. Enemies of christ! Want to divide by sex and race..
Hence mass immigration… To make us angry and hate… When it is the evil in power who are orchestrating it… Through local councils to overrun our neighbourhoods… Very clever! Keep your eyes on christ…. Love is the only way.. Live by the sword, die by the sword… We must march for Christ under his banner in everything we do… Without him, nothing will succeed….
God bless!
Viva christo rey!
Amen love it, well said… Especially a hard one for many Christians: “if you don’t love your brother, but love God, you are a liar”… WOW! We like to gloss over that one.
It is possible I think to love some people from a safe distance. Not wish them harm but pray they come to Jesus Christ…..Especially if they are destructive narcissists.

Begin the day with God!
He is your Sun and Day!
He is the radiance of your dawn;
To Him address your day.
Sing a new song at morn!
Join the glad woods and hills;
Join the fresh winds and seas and plains,
Join the bright flowers and rills.
Sing your first song to God!
Not to your fellow men;
Not to the creatures of His hand,
But to the glorious One.
Take your first walk with God!
Let Him go forth with thee;
By stream, or sea, or mountain path,
Seek still His company.
Your first transaction be
With God Himself above;
So will your business prosper well,
All the day be love.

We can all only do this (love unconditionally) through Christ.
