As for these variants, I still cant see how anyone can find them and monitor them. How on earth do they do it? They dont have the original virus to compare with, and in order to discern a variant you need to do a comparison. You also need some characteristics to identify as different, that could be how the virus behaves or how it looks genetically. If they cannot isolate the virus, then they cannot do a genetic comparison and there is no evidence of any difference of behaviour in the virus. So I am calling BS on all variant stories.
