I have recently been having a ‘discussion’ with a satanist, and by this I mean someone who is fully aware of the lies they are spreading and do so with the express intention of leading others astray. I have a feeling I know this person and have conversed with them before (under another name). They are weaving a complex story that may confuse and misdirect some people. I am retelling it here because it has revealed something interesting to me and answers some questions. As we know everything GOD creates in light so satan will try to copy in darkness, kind of like a mirror subverted image.
So down to the discussion, he, this person states.
Christ Jesus is not the true Son of The Father.
Christ means 666 and he is of his father satan who is YHVH.
Jesus Barabbas is the rightful son of The Father.
‘We’ ‘Christians’ have been led astray following the ‘wrong’ Jesus.
Obviously this is not true Barabbas was a robber, insurrectionist and murdered (complete mirror image to the teaching of Christ), but in looking into this GOD revealed so much more to me, realising how complex each part of scripture is, the deeper you look the more there is to see. This all comes down to Matthew 27: 16 where is at appears to suggest Barabbas was also called Jesus.
‘(16) A notable prisoner, called Barabbas.—There is considerable, though not quite decisive, evidence in favour of the reading which gives “Jesus Barabbas” as the name of the prisoner. The name Bar-abbas (=son of Abbas, or of “a father”), like Bar-timseus and Bartholomew’
We have to remember the trial would have been conducted in Aramaic but The New Testament was written in Greek so transliteration would have to have been used.
The Aramaic Patronymic Bar-
‘A patronymic is an identifying designation derived from the name of one’s father or other male ancestor (e.g. Johnson = son of John). Corresponding to the Hebrew בֵּן (ben), the Aramaic בַּר (bar) is a patronymic prefix meaning “son of” (cf. Ezra 5:1, 2; 6:14; Dan. 3:25; 5:22; 7:13).1 With reference to one’s paternity or other distinctive features, this prefix helped to differentiate among those who bore the same name in ancient Aramaic-speaking communities. For example, the name “Jesus” is the English transliteration of the Greek Iēsous, which is equivalent to the Hebrew Yehoshuah and its abbreviated form Yeshua (“Joshua”). There is the less reason, therefore, for thinking, with Olshausen, that the characteristic significance of the name בַּר אַבָּא, father’s son (i.e. probably the son of a Rabbi, Matthew 23:9),’
So we can reasonably assume Jesus Bar-abbas refers to Jesus the son of the Rabbi (father) Matthew 23:8.
(interestingly Abbas is also an old name for ‘lion’ 1 Peter 5:8)
So at the trial to differentiate between the two men called the fairly common name “Joshua” Pontius Pilate used the patronymic prefix to define Jesus son of Abbas? Jesus son of the Rabbi.
But interestingly instead of using Jesus son of Joseph Pilate uses Jesus who is called Mashiyach (Messiah)
Jesus who is called Messiah, (Hebrew Mashiyach) (Greek Christ) because his Father was GOD The Father, NOT Joseph!. The acceptance his father was not Joseph so Pilot could not and did not use his patronymic title (Yehoshuah bar-Yosef).
So at the trial we have this choice given to the crowd
BA-RABBAS
Bar-abbas is Aramaic for “Son of my Father” or “Son of the Father”. son of the Rabbi (The Old Testament, physical system)
CHRIST/MESSIAH
Christ is the Greek for “anointed one”. The word “Messiah” is Hebrew with the same meaning (The New Testament The Spiritual system)
Irony
Pilate was no fool and understood this well and mocked the Jews by putting a stark question to them:
Do you want me to release to you either:
Jesus Bar-abbas [= The saviour (insurrectionist) who is the son of the father (Rabbi)] - Murderer, criminal and insurrectionist.
or
Jesus Christ [= The Saviour (Messiah) the Anointed One, who is also the Son of The Father, 2 John 3] - a man (John 19:5) who was holy, innocent, blameless, set apart from sinners (Heb 7:26)
To complete the irony, Pilate set a sign over the cross.
Pilate also had a notice posted on the cross. It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. (John 19:19)
Thus, when the Jews insisted that Barabbas be released and Jesus be crucified, they selected a false messiah and crucified the true Messiah.
One last chance for these people to accept The New Testament of Christ Jesus.
