GOD knows the nature of every man and the lessons he has to learn. This is not about food this is about acceptance of The New Covenant of Christ Jesus in the acceptance of righteous Gentiles.

Peter to GOD and GODs lesson to Peter
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common

      Peter to The Gentiles
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common

22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

  2. First, obviously GOD says pray over your food and that it will cleansed. There is defiantly a difference between food prepared and cooked in love, I really believe you can taste a difference.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
    1 timothy 4, 4-6

“For every creature of God is good”

To me this means made by GOD in his love for us, not processed foods made without love and for money, often with their desire to make us ill. We do not require cola or foods just designed to be addictive, but we do require meat and vegetables, even though they are indeed still ‘poisoned’.

If I go into another persons house and they give me foods I do not normally eat GOD tells me I should pray over them and eat them with thanks to my host. We can not go wrong if we always stay in righteousness and do what is taught us by Christ.

    Daniel and Babylon

27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
28 But if any man say unto you, this is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:
    1 Corinthians 10, 27-28

We know human sacrifice and the eating of human flesh was prevalent in Babylon but not only this their ‘feast’ were generally dedicated to satan worship.

‘The Babylonian Gods and Their Festivals: A Calendar of Worship’

‘A. Types of rituals: offerings, feasts, and prayers
Offerings were made to deities in the form of food, drink, and other valuable items. Feasts were communal events that strengthened social bonds, while prayers sought divine favor and guidance.’

Just as an interesting? side note I always found it ironic Margret Thatcher was a ‘food scientist’ before she was a politician and two of the ‘inventions’ she was involved with were, off the top of my head.

    Fast bake bread (colon cancer)
    Soft scoop ice cream.

    • Something interesting just came to me about Daniel and Babylon and the satanic feasting, it could be deeper than Daniel just not wanting to contaminate himself.

21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

Would Daniel eating this communal pagan feast (which would have already been ‘prayed over’ and dedicated to satan) have made him complicit in other people dooming themselves? Daniel’s prayer and faith having cleansed the food for himself but not others? Agreement to partake when you yourself know it is wrong because you believe you are protected, means you do not love and care about others dooming themselves?

19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
      Romans 14, 19-23

Sorry for taking over the comments, the last thing I will say on this matter is, We are surrounded by sin, we can not escape it and we are not meant to, we need to prove we can rule over it. Anyone can do the right thing when they have no access to their addiction, but have they ruled over their desire for that addiction? We can try to remove ourselves from Babylon but Babylon will not let us go until Christ stops it.

  3. Very good point about consuming with EYES compared to consuming FOOD. “All things are permissible, but not all are beneficial…” we CAN do these things, but SHOULD we?
