A very interesting take on the song! Many musicians and poets claim they get their work from the muses, it just pops into their heads. The muses were Greek mythological entities who manipulated man’s thoughts. Robert Johnson sold his soul at the crossroads. Bob Dylan admitted to selling his soul in exchange for fame. The famous tin pan alley here in America. They mentally tune into the spiritual source of so many of these songs. They often call it inspiration. It’s not their creation, rather just puppets of the muses. Perhaps some muses were heavenly angels while others, not so heavenly. Who knows?
The beast that comes out of the sea, is the Roman church. I.e., Catholic, Western and Eastern Orthodox churches. It was the Spaniards, under order of the queen who travelled the seas and started their destruction of indigenous people’s around the world. The British invaded America, India and many other countries. All by the seas. The British government, who is under the influence of the Roman church, gave us the law of the seas, aka, Admiralty law. We are considered lost at sea under the Admiralty law. This took us off God’s laws, the common law of the land. This is the new movement of self-proclaimed sovereign people that has taken off around the western world in the last 10-15 years or so. No longer following Admiralty law, no longer paying Federal taxes that support war. Yes, these are the end times.

God created and owns all souls, so your soul is not your to sell.
You are paid for at a price.
In the Bible, particularly in 1 Corinthians 6:20 and 7:23, the phrase “bought with a price” refers to the concept of being redeemed or ransomed by God.
So you cannot sell your soul, you can only loose it by turning away from God, then you are separated from God.
