Fast and prayer are our strongest weapons against the powers of evil. Not surprisingly the corrupted versions of the Bible omitted and twisted so many passages and verses where these are mentioned.

After Adam sinned there were no Laws to follow, no Laws to keep us clean. Every single Man (head of the family, his guilt all our guilt) was doomed to eternal death. GOD in his great grace and wisdom allowed those sins to be carried forward on each male heir. God knew there would be a chance in the future for those sins to be removed by his grace in acceptance of GOD and victory over temptation. The removal of the eternal death (born again) in the acceptance of Christ Jesus and following of The Commandments removes that eternal death from Adam.
12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned.
13 For sin was in the world before the law was given; but sin is not taken into account when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who did not sin in the way that Adam transgressed. He is a pattern of the One to come.
15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many!
16 Again, the gift is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment that followed one sin brought condemnation, but the gift that followed many trespasses brought justification.
17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
18 So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men.
19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
20 The law came in so that the trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 21so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Some ‘religious groups’ lie this means there is no longer any fear of sin and you can ‘sin and sin freely’ do not let these evil people rob you of salvation. You must accept Christ Jesus and keep The Commandments.
16 “When you fast, don’t make yourselves look sad like the hypocrites. They put a look of suffering on their faces so that people will see they are fasting. The truth is, that’s all the reward they will get. 17 So when you fast, wash your face and make yourself look nice. 18 Then no one will know you are fasting, except your Father, who is with you even in private. He can see what is done in private, and he will reward you.
