  1. Yes, and also

The Lord helps those helps those who help themselves.

I am not afraid and I have also been taught by my grandparents who lived through the Great Depression. God is good, but He didn’t protect them from days with no food. They suffered greatly. If I can prepare myself and others to not suffer….That’s a good thing.

    • Your quote is not from the Bible. So your entire comment and point is based on a lie sold to you be the false prophet media.
…..the phrase “God helps those who help themselves” topped a poll as one of the most widely known Bible verses.
The only problem is, it’s not a Bible verse. Nope, it’s not in there.

Guess why that phrase was put out there by Satan? So that you think you can control things and not need God.
      You cannot save yourself.
The truth is the Bible teaches the opposite of that phrase.
      God helps the helpless!
Isaiah 25:4 declares, “For You have been a defense for the helpless, a defense for the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat…” Romans 5:6 tells us, “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.”

    • You appear to be quoting Marx, Lisa: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”

    • Talking of providing refuge in a storm. Swept away: The island family lost to a storm 20 years on: Cirsty remembered the anger and grief she felt in the wake of the storm.

‘She said: “The priest at the time said they went to God together.

“I was so angry, I said they didn’t. I said what kind of god would do such a terrible thing to such good people?

“To children who were so lovely and innocent?”‘

People (understandably) get angry as bad things happen and wonder why God just sat back, did nothing and let it happen but as Scripture says it’s important to remember that these (bad) things are sent to test us.

  2. Okay. During the pandemic CNN floated the notion that anti jabbers should not be allowed in any public space including grocery stores. So, being independent from the system or self sufficient- orchards, cattle, food storage are all part of this independence. Stocking necessities is part of it also. Any student of history knows bountiful times will end. Butchering your own meat and learning from the Amish I hope is smart. And, I may be confused, but diminishing the system’s influence in your life has to positive. Eventually, the net goes also. To achieve this diminishing dependence on the system is a ton of work and involves preparation.

Thinking this thru – there is a fear of being totally dependent on this system

    • Nice one Hugo!
It’s great to hear you talking about ‘The fear of the Lord’ in a way that actually means ‘Fear’ and not something metaphorical, as is the belief of many Christians out there due to false doctrine.
That analogy that you used about the fear of the child of his own Father through chastisement was absolutely spot on.

That’s the fear that is beginning of wisdom!

It’s also worth pointing out that Revelation 12:14 (which I believe is yet to come) states this :

‘And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.’

Proof that she will be cared for by God and his angels just as the children of Israel were when they were wandering through the wilderness, before entering the promised land. Who is the woman? I believe her to be believing followers of Jesus: Why else would she be persecuted?

God really does care about us and our needs will be fulfilled by him if we trust him and ‘seek ye first the kingdom of God’ just as Jesus said. Our Father is truly amazing 🙌🏼

      Be blessed Hugo!

  5. Hello Hugo
I have never ever made a single comment about anybody’s understanding of anything in our existence; as it is his or her own perception. However I have to say I agree with what you are trying to explain here. I only have one small, I Feel important comment and this is not to do you any disservice.
There are some amongst us like Noah, who have been instructed to prepare for the near future. However like you state NOT through fear.
    I will leave it there.
I LOVE what you are doing and please keep up the good work.
    LOVE Bobby

  6. The Bible tells us that the end will involve destruction: “There will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now . . . In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved.” (Matthew 24:21, 22) But God promises us that many humans will survive: “The world is passing away . . . , but the one who does the will of God remains forever.”—1 John 2:17.

I do believe this will happen but I am fearful of what we will have to suffer during this time.
