I have a 1611 KJV from 1897… It’s the 66 Protestant books. Nothing has changed compared to my new 1611 KJV textually. The font.
My new KJV is a study bible, with dogma I don’t always read. The 1897 Bible is on a shelf and is an antique. But I have read sections and such. Nothing has changed.

There’s a lot of stuff that is expounds on scripture well, or a certain parable. Other times it seems to cherry pick out “Dispensational” verses. It’s a pre-trib rapture theology bible. I believe in Historic Pre-Millenialism. Only 2 or 3 Dispensations. BC/AD. New World?
(Law of Moses, Law of Christ, Eternity) Instead of 7 or something. Where the church is raptured and there are only jews. People make these big things on tapestry and whiteboards… Is it a salvation issue? Probably not. Illiterate come to Christ. “First will be the last, Last will be the first!”

Hi Hugo. The thing about the crusades is…..the middle east, Europe and even parts of the far east were Christian for hundreds of years, before Muhammed turned up . Christianity had time to become well spread and established. Then at the time of the crusades, the Muslims had started invading slaughtering and ‘converting’ (or else) all the countries that were Christian. The crusades were in response to those invasions. This is all history and can be looked up. There is a lot of false propaganda condemning all Christians now. We should be united in God, not be arguing about bible versions. God reaches everyone who asks Him, regardless of what they’ve read. This is all distraction to lead us away.

And the more detailed information about David Suchet, The audio bible he reads. It’s really good he uses different tones when God is speaking. David wanted to read KJV but ultimately decided that NIV was more lyrically accessible to people. And wanted to spread the Gospel to as many as possible. Debating Bible versions is kinda silly. I read the Word-for-word translations… NASB, KJV… But I will read an NLT,NIV,CSB,ESV… I’m still praying to Jesus Christ.

You are right about one thing ….Jesus condemning the money changers and turning over their tables in the temples. Jesus was a rebel and rebelled against these actions as he could see how this usury would play out if not confronted. So the question is: Do we take action and rebel like Jesus did and attempt to turn the tables on the powers of evil or do we standby and let them do their will?
Hardly a “rebel.” Maybe against the Jewish religious authorities or the Romans … What did Jesus say as he overturned the tables and threw the money changers out of the Temple of God? Matthew or Mark?

Christ quoted the old testament laws here as well. I so no rebellion. Except against those who have strayed from God and “Claim to be Jews’s but are not.”
As for written things that may cause contention: Luke 14:26 ““If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.” Even his own life? All belongs to Christ.

Interesting. I don’t think they necessarily want people to believe in Jesus but to actually become Catholic. So that when the final false religion of this world arrives worldwide, the pope can tell all those that look to him to follow that religion. And that religion of course is Islam.
Islam is the religion of the anti Christ. The image of the beast that everyone will worship is the kabba. John said the image would come alive somehow – to me it sounds like it will be a video or animation of the kabba on your smartphone or watch which will have a sound eg the muslim call to prayer. If you think about it – Islam and Christianity have always been at loggerheads. Right now we are being taken over by Muslims, the Jewish recognise this and, where for the last few decades it has been in their favour to steer us away from Christianity until, they now realise they need people to fight their side lest Islam take their status from them.
So, now it’s useful to promote Jesus/Christianity because we will be inclined to battle for what we think is righteous. It’s why they began promoting the notion of this being a spiritual war… They think in chess moves, we just react.

In Luke 22:36 Christ says: “But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.”
I don’t think Jesus is advocating violence. He didn’t tell them to all have arms. Merely to be able to defend themselves. When numerical scales increase we have armies. I like history. I don’t like current warfare.
As I write this I think Israel is under major attack from Iran or whoever.
Or at least that’s what I heard from someone. Many of them still need Christ! Brother killing Brother. Maybe Christ’s return is soon.
But wait… 1st Thessalonians 5:3 “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” The woman with child, is Christ, is it not? Deep dive into the Bible! I’m not going to look at the NEWS.

My mistake, it’s the inevitability of childbirth, once pregnant as an analogy.
But the whole book of 1st Thessalonians, applies as does the scripture before and after 5:3.
“Times and seasons, Day of the Lord, Thief in the night, For when they shall say peace… You are not in darkness, that it should overtake you as a thief… onto sobriety and putting on the armor of God.”

You are right about one thing ….Jesus condemning the money changers and turning over their tables in the temples. Jesus was a rebel and rebelled against these actions as he could see how this usury would play out if not confronted. So the question is: Do we take action and rebel like Jesus did and attempt to turn the tables on the powers of evil or do we standby and let them do their will?

Hardly a “rebel.” Maybe against the Jewish religious authorities or the Romans … What did Jesus say as he overturned the tables and threw the money changers out of the Temple of God? Matthew or Mark?
“He *said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a robbers’ den.” Matt 21:12-13
“He began to teach and say to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a robbers’ den.” Mark 11:15-18
Christ quoted the old testament laws here as well. I so no rebellion. Except against those who have strayed from God and “Claim to be Jews’s but are not.”
As for written things that may cause contention: Luke 14:26 ““If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.” Even his own life? All belongs to Christ.
God’s not a rebel. He’s the Alpha and Omega! 🙂

I’m saying grace until the food is cold, because I start to include my extended family, orphans, widows, the struggling, those who need His divine hand more than other’s. Our terrible politicians… Not to share too much prayer. But I do pray for governmental leaders I don’t like.
The bible foretells of great deception and apostasy… I think it’s been ongoing since probably before Vatican II.
Gnostic gospels of the first centuries were not the Gospel of Jesus Christ and if the last days have begun since John was given the revelation on Patmos in ~90AD or so… Anything could happen! (1 day is a 1000 years…)

Interesting. I don’t think they necessarily want people to believe in Jesus but to actually become Catholic. So that when the final false religion of this world arrives worldwide, the pope can tell all those that look to him to follow that religion. And that religion of course is Islam.
Islam is the religion of the anti Christ. The image of the beast that everyone will worship is the kabba. John said the image would come alive somehow – to me it sounds like it will be a video or animation of the kabba on your smartphone or watch which will have a sound eg the muslim call to prayer. Whenever people see that they will stop what they are doing, bow to Mecca and worship the beast(satan/lucifer/shiva/allah of islam)
The pope already kisses the quran and the Imam’s because he’s one of them. Eventually he’ll tell the world that muhammed is the final prophet and that the quran surpasses the bible. The mark of the beast is the shihada that they believe and recite and live by (mark on the hand or forehead): that abomination of a sentence that says allah is god and has no son.
whoever takes that mark and worships that beast (ie becomes a muslim) will be thrown into the lake of fire because they’ve denied God (Yahuah/YHWH) and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ (Yahusha).

I thought the Bible said “The son of perdition” would declare himself god. The false prophet and all the tribulation will create a totally new religion. Maybe the Anti-Christ will come from the Islamic world, like some people theorize. Or perhaps he will be a Jew. Or a gentile?!
Though Islam’s “Allah is the one and only true god, he has no son.” Is a denial of the Son, and so of the Father, and is “anti-christ” as described in John.

If you think about it – Islam and Christianity have always been at loggerheads. Right now we are being taken over by Muslims, the Jewish recognise this and, where for the last few decades it has been in their favour to steer us away from Christianity until, they now realise they need people to fight their side lest Islam take their status from them.
So, now it’s useful to promote Jesus/Christianity because we will be inclined to battle for what we think is righteous. It’s why they began promoting the notion of this being a spiritual war… They think in chess moves, we just react.
