  2. It used to be said “patience is a virtue” but I wouldn’t be surprised if most young people had never heard it said or even understand the concept. Now that postal services are all private I can’t even go upstairs if I am expecting a parcel, which is often as I buy a lot on the net, because if I don’t respond quickly to the door bell they don’t wait.

  3. Amen Hugo… Patience is my persistent practise too, thank you for this testimony, it’s very edifying and encouraging!
Your mention of prayer I find is the perfect solution to practising patience – I’ll remember to turn to prayer more often when I am tested; that and a deep breath go a long way.
Prayers for you, your situation and family.
Thanks for keeping me sane in this fallen world!

  5. Thank you for this very good reminder…..patience is a virtue and so are all the other fruits of the spirit which Jesus so perfectly demonstrated. I will be praying for you Hugo, for patience and that you can find rest in the perfect peace of God.

  6. Only the Holy Spirit can work patience into us and that is usually by the way of the Cross. It is not the easy things of life that
produce patience but the hard, the trials, the suffering. We must pick up our Cross daily and submit to The Holy Spirit.
Many become offended in Christ when they realise the way up is always down, we must decrease that He may increase.

  7. The size of the mountain is equal to that which causes you to come to your crossroads.

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
    1 Corinthians 10:13

I have been asked more than once ‘why me, why do I suffer so terribly if there is a God’. Imagine you have a big strong man, a man used to suffering able to cope with pain, what use his test to be more pain? Your suffering must be commensurate with your strengths and weaknesses or satan would say ‘he/she had to too easy’. We must suffer that, that proves we can rule over OUR weakness.

This even extends to the raising of those who died without testing satan will be released from his chains to test those that died before Tribulation or he will again run around spreading poison saying those people had it easy.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
    1 Peter 5:8

    3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
    Romans 5:3-5

  8. My sister always said the more you have thrown at you, the stronger it makes you. My brother waited on a plastic chair for 24 hours in Guildford hospital, waiting for his wife to receive help. That took some patience. A woman in front of me in Lidl yesterday waited at least ten seconds, then shouted: ‘Excuse me, are you opening another till?’ That showed no patience at all!

  10. God doesn’t “test” us. That’s a ridiculous notion. If any one is testing us. it’s the dark spirits, not the good side. God will help us prepare for battle, but he won’t cause it. Same with suffering and starvation. That isn’t testing by God. It’s lying from the fraudulent ministers more than anything, to keep you coming back. If they ask for money, they aren’t God’s servants. Think about that next time they pass you the “donation” plate. God doesn’t charge a fee for his assistance and guidance. Only men do.

    • The Bible is full of God ‘testing’ people, or putting them through their paces, or putting them through trials, .
You sound like you have not read a page of scripture?
Proverbs 17:3 The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the LORD trieth (tests) hearts
Exodus 20:20—“Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you.”
Job 23:10—“He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.”
Genesis 22:1-2 Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith.
      and so on.
Trials are designed by the Lord to test our faith, humility, submission, and values. You can choose to resist them or benefit by trusting in and depending on Him.

    • God does test us to teach us. Yes the devil also tests us to see if we will lose our faith. It’s one big test! If you didn’t know God punishes us too!

        This correction is important,

OUR own sin leads to us falling into satan’s hands, and satan hates us. Once we sin Gods seed leaves us (removed from Gods household* and protection) once in unrighteousness ‘we’ reside in satan’s household*, satan’s children. The punishments for those in satan’s household that do not follow his ‘ministry’ to be constantly destructive to others/themselves are dire. Always remember God loves his children and will accept sinners back into his house if they repent to Christ Jesus and are righteous.

Once we show error satan can call doubt against us to God. God must allow satan ‘ministry’ over HIS children to see which way ‘we’ go. Unfortunately Adam gave satan dominion* over the Earth and so contractually until the return of Christ Jesus satan can claim dominion over all sinners.

9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
        1 John 3, 9-10

12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
        James 1, 12-16

        In satan’s household

        *Interesting side note

        dominion (n.)
mid-15c., “lordship, sovereign or supreme authority,” from Old French dominion “dominion, rule, power” and directly from Medieval Latin dominionem (nominative dominio), corresponding to Latin dominium “property, ownership,” from dominus “lord, master,” from domus “house” (from PIE root *dem- “house, household”).

  11. How many times did ‘we’ betray God? How many times did he put his trust in us doing what is righteous? How many of his chosen people fell to satan through free will? God WILL NOT LEAVE ANYTHIG TO CHANCE ANYMORE you will be tested, you will do as your told, you will follow The TEN Commandments to the letter or you will suffer the consequences. God does not do evil but if you do not follow Gods rules satan is as a crouching lion ready to run to God and try to hold God to account for YOUR sins. satan can only touch those not in perfection YOU are responsible for your righteousness not ‘ministers’ there is no excuse.

9 For my name’s sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
    Isaiah 48, 9-11

23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
    Romans 2, 23-24

    Read Job.

1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

    Seven sons

3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.
4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

Seven sons, seven nights, feasting and drinking INCLUDING Sabbath

5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job CONTINUALLY!

Job knew what was happening, Job knew it was wrong, Job tried to make recompense instead of warning them and forbidding them to sin and warning them of THEIR guilt. satan saw this, satan went to God in glee at catching a so called righteous man in error.

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

God already knew what satan was up to so he took control of the conversation and made the rules.

Unfortunately through Adam’s choice to believe satan in his free will and our continuation to sin we will have to suffer and prove ourselves because free will makes it possible to betray God and fall to satan at any point.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

  12. Excellent reminder! A tough one for sure…my favorite verse on patience goes something like this…”be un-offended in your patience with others”. Always living out our lives as a maker of peace…peacemaker! That is wisdom from above…supernatural, not of ourselves…thank you Jesus!

  14. Patience is a form of hope which is the state in which man uniquely lives. I think Christ got impatient with the money lenders in the temple, which means passive tolerance of evil is also wrong. Hugo, had you not got impatient with the wicked lockdowns, you would not have created your marvellous and enlightening videos. As always judgement and wisdom are required to get this right. God has blessed you.
