I’d love to hear what you think about the Christian singers and some of the labels that sell the Christian songs… I hear they are very competitive and there’s a lot of dark interaction in that arena…. Any thoughts or ideas?? Your videos are excellent and very well thought through!!! THANK YOU!!! 🙂
Very good video Hugo. I think the commandments from God, are not a list of ‘bossy’ control commands; but are actually a safety ‘leaflet’ TELLING us how to stay safe! God didn’t say “though shalt have no other gods before me” ..out of VANITY! But BECAUSE having other gods would lead us to destruction! The same with the rest of the commandments. People seem to actually resent what Jesus has said, instead of realising its ALL FOR OUR OWN GOOD! It’s like a parent telling his children, ” listen to ME, not others” (knowing ‘others’ ((Satan))will mislead them and lead them AWAY from their true loving father). Then the children DONT listen to their father and instead are waylaid by the world and Satan’s tempting, and so eventually come unstuck! Then complaining about the father.
I know Disney iis now days not some paragon of good, but if you look at a few of his EARLY films…Pinnochio for example…..the father puts pinnochio on the path to success etc, then the wiley fox leads him away, and the puppet is then lost and changed and in big danger. Until he listens to the cricket (his conscience) and comes back to his father only by the virtues of listening to his conscience and courage of self sacrifice…. . The song ‘ always let your concience be your guide’ is the overriding advice. There are many historical children’s authors who did the same. Charles Kingslys ‘ The water babies’ was the same. There was a character ‘Mrs do as you would be done by’. I read this as a child, and it really did influence me in my behaviour. So I think history has been liberally scattered with seemingly secular books and films with messages echoing those of Jesus threaded through them. ‘ The lion the witch and the wardrobe’ is another. With the sacrifice of he Lion Absolon, representing Christ. I’m sure you could find many more. Maybe you would consider doing a series of analysis on some of the classic books, and maybe some films that may not be obviously Christian in content, but nethertheless when examined reveal, God’s tteaching.Keep up your excellent efforts Hugo 🙏🏻😇
