…and I thought it was only me that didn’t like all the violence/gore/crime shows/ soaps/reality shows/property/ufo/diy/superhero /voyeristic/competition/antiques/
Celebrity/greed/food/house/how to/shut filled/obscenes/blasphemy/properganda etc etc that is pumped out! Glad I’m not alone.
What came to mind is: “Keep your eyes from seeing bloodshed.” The devil’s version is on TV. There’s rarely a show or movie without it. SAD. Thank you for sharing. I can’t remember a poem our pastor shared with us once, along the lines of Psalm 28. that starts out. The television set is my shepherd. It maketh me to lie down and do nothing for the kingdom of God…well, the first line says it all…If the TV is watched more than time in God’s Word, and prayer, and communing with Him, it becomes an idol. And consumes you. And most people don’t even know it.
“If thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light”.
I guess ‘single’ in this context does not have the meaning being physically one-eyed, but rather ‘simple’, ‘untouched’, ‘sincere’… – or something to that effect?
Great song all true sadly
❤️🙏✝️ Hugo thank u
