As God is building HIS Church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it. What I’ve found in recent years since not attending a Sunday Church service is that I’ve seeked out like minded believers and had fellowship with them. Hugo you could even start a House Church or an online Church or a bit of both. Scripture interprets scripture, and almost every issue I’ve ever come across in scripture has been down to a mistranslation or misinterpretation. A Hebrew/Greek key study bible is invaluable in getting to the bottom of these contentious issues.
“They shall . . persecute you . . for My Name’s sake.” Not for being a true disciple of Christ, or for belonging to a proper Christian denomination but for confessing His Name. I believe that Jehova’s witnesses, mormons, seventh day adventists and others lay themselves open to such manipulation and scapegoating by God’s enemies, because they follow a false teaching in a hidebound religious way when they are called to follow the truth in liberty, but they are still persecuted for His Name’s sake. When those who hear His voice and follow Him walk into the storm, their suffering and persecution has purpose and avails much for God’s kingdom, often furthering His cause in reaching others, or providing material relief for the suffering. It all works to the glory of God, and confirms the witness and testimony of Jesus. When those who claim to be His, but are led down a dark path by worldly institutions and religious hypocrisy, they become prey to the wiles of the devil, instruments in his hand, and an ideal weapon to use against the body of Christ, since they are perceived as being within the fold. I understand why many will wish to distance themselves from these groups, as they present this opportunity to attack Christians in general on what Jehova’s witnesses or the catholic church, or any of these dead religious cults does, but those who do the attacking won’t stop attacking our faith if they all disappeared tomorrow. The fact is that JWs absolutely believe in the whole Bible and believe in salvation only through Jesus’ death for everyone’s sins, they believe he is divine and is God’s son as a separate being. There are plenty of verses in the KJV and others that show them to be different beings (although there are a few that seem to back up the trinity).
How some ‘Christians’ can look down their noses at JWs and other denominations, while worshipping Mary and using rosary beads, is beyond me. Not that they are the only ones. Lots of churches these days have female ministers or fly pride flags, can they be considered Christian?

However, it is important to make a differentiation between those who are true Christians and those who are following a false gospel so as not to mislead people even accidentally. It’s not just that JW‘s views are strange regarding Jesus, actually their views are pivotal to whether one is saved or not. At the end of the day, we will all stand before God and only one thing and one thing will be taken into account, what did you do with the Son of God who came to die for your sins, did you believe in Him or did you reject Him? On this hangs the eternal destination (heaven or hell) of every soul. Denominations are man-made, they’re not in the Bible. It is good to read the Bible for yourself, look at Hebrew and Greek lexicons for meanings of words in the Bible and also commentaries written by good reliable commentators of the past, but ultimately, to pray and ask the Holy Spirit as He is the best teacher I have found. What aggravates me slightly is that so many people of different religions (that in most cases actually say pretty much the same thing) believe that theirs is the only “true path” to god or spiritual enlightenment, when in reality it is foolish and somewhat narrow minded to believe that there is only “one way” and that anyone who does not follow a particular dogma is some sort of satanist or similar. Especially in the case of “modern” Christianity, which has many flaws given that the bible has been rewritten and the trnaslations form Greek have led to words and even concepts made clear in the original Gree, being misinterpreted. Totally agree with you once again Hugo, whilst it’s nice to be part of a group, if that group strays from the Bible, it’s time to get out! Before reading the Bible, sadly I looked for Yeshua in what I now know to be a cultist-like church, the leaders were always in battle with one another too, but Bible was not part of it and prayers were an afterthought, but my eyes did not truly see. Praise to God, I was taken from that church through illness, although not a great way to find the Lord, and sadly it wasn’t much sooner, I sometimes think He put that illness on me in order to lose tge scales from my eyes. No matter huch way it was, it worked. I am not of any denomination either Hugo, just a follower of Christ. Nowhere in the bible says that the priesthood was abolished, in fact the book of Hebrews shows how the nature of the priesthood was changed from a blood generation into a spiritual call from God!!! Abraham was the first priest, and if you notice the book of Hebrews doesn’t mention Moses, but Abraham; why? A priest can only become a priest by being consecrated by someone superior to him in the priesthood hierarchy, and Abraham had no one superior to him as no priests still existed. So God sent Maltizedek, an angel, to consecrate Abraham as the first priest on earth; then came Aaron and the Levites, then came Jesus which consecrated the apostles as the first bishops in christianity, telling them they had the power to either forgive or NOT forgive… note that Jesus only told this to His apostles, not to other people. In Matthew 6:14-15 Jesus ordered people to forgive others always, but in John 20:23 Jesus only told the apostles that they had to power to either forgive or not… aka, only the clergy has the power to forgive or not forgive, and this doctrine is directly linked with the SACRAMENT OF CONFESSION, where the priest acting in “persona christi” has the power to forgive or not.
So protestant lack a huge chunk of christian doctrine and tradition because they only read the bible, and miss all that God has taught and transmitted to lots of saints, seers, popes, etc, etc… they are missing 2023 years of instructions!!! Popes? yeah, Since ancient times, again God always has chosen a man to be an intermediary between Him and His children; it’s been like that at least since Abraham, then Isaac, then Moses, then the kings and then Jesus chose Peter to be that first intermediary in the christian new era… and this tradition was kept until today and to this we call “apostolic succession”!!!

All religions think they are right as they are written so well and hit all the points people are looking for . I agree with Hugo that we don’t need to be part of a Christian man made orginization. It is men following men anyway. 1st Timothy 2:5 tells us that only Jesus is our mediator with God. We don’t need a priest in a fancy suit telling us what is right or wrong.
Nothing wrong for Christians to gather together but in the way it is with Christian organizations today, I would rather not join.
I follow certain channels online for news and Bible study though as a helpful tool in my own race.

Any denomination or religion that teaches anything contrary to God’s word – the Bible – is a False church and thereby a CULT. This applies to the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox and many Protestant who teach of salvation by Faith and Works. The Bible properly understood teaches of Salvation by Faith alone (1 Corinthians 15: 1-4; Romans 10: 9-10 & 13; Acts 16: 30-31 amongst others). The Bible teaches us to Rightly Divide God’s word (2 Timothy 2: 15 KJV) – Works should follow Salvation BUT our salvation is not dependant on our works but solely and wholly on the work of Christ Jesus on the cross – this is a vital difference!
Most modern cults, JW’s, Mormons, Christiadelphians, Christian Scientists, all deny the Divinity of Christ – they make Him a created being – again, the Bible, properly understood makes crystal clear His place in the Godhead – Christ is God!

In Genesis, God says that it is not good for man to be alone. It can take time and discernment to find, but the Lord has planted churches all over this world that are Gospel geared and scripturally sound.

Scripture interprets scripture, and almost every issue I’ve ever come across in scripture has been down to a mistranslation or misinterpretation. A Hebrew/Greek key study bible is invaluable in getting to the bottom of these contentious issues.

I believe that Jehova’s witnesses, mormons, seventh day adventists and others lay themselves open to such manipulation and scapegoating by God’s enemies, because they follow a false teaching in a hidebound religious way when they are called to follow the truth in liberty, but they are still persecuted for His Name’s sake. When those who hear His voice and follow Him walk into the storm, their suffering and persecution has purpose and avails much for God’s kingdom, often furthering His cause in reaching others, or providing material relief for the suffering. It all works to the glory of God, and confirms the witness and testimony of Jesus. When those who claim to be His, but are led down a dark path by worldly institutions and religious hypocrisy, they become prey to the wiles of the devil, instruments in his hand, and an ideal weapon to use against the body of Christ, since they are perceived as being within the fold. The fact is that JWs absolutely believe in the whole Bible and believe in salvation only through Jesus’ death for everyone’s sins, they believe he is divine and is God’s son as a separate being. The way other ‘Christians’ respond to this is absolutely not normal. There are plenty of verses in the KJV and others that show them to be different beings (although there are a few that seem to back up the trinity).
How some ‘Christians’ can look down their noses at JWs and other denominations, while worshipping Mary and using rosary beads, is beyond me. Not that they are the only ones. Lots of churches these days have female ministers or fly pride flags, can they be considered Christian?

However, it is important to make a differentiation between those who are true Christians and those who are following a false gospel so as not to mislead people even accidentally. It’s not just that JW‘s views are strange regarding Jesus, actually their views are pivotal to whether one is saved or not. At the end of the day, we will all stand before God and only one thing and one thing will be taken into account, what did you do with the Son of God who came to die for your sins, did you believe in Him or did you reject Him? On this hangs the eternal destination (heaven or hell) of every soul. Denominations are man-made, they’re not in the Bible. It is good to read the Bible for yourself, look at Hebrew and Greek lexicons for meanings of words in the Bible and also commentaries written by good reliable commentators of the past, but ultimately, to pray and ask the Holy Spirit as He is the best teacher I have found. What aggravates me slightly is that so many people of different religions (that in most cases actually say pretty much the same thing) believe that theirs is the only “true path” to god or spiritual enlightenment, when in reality it is foolish and somewhat narrow minded to believe that there is only “one way” and that anyone who does not follow a particular dogma is some sort of satanist or similar. Especially in the case of “modern” Christianity, which has many flaws given that the bible has been rewritten and the trnaslations form Greek have led to words and even concepts made clear in the original Gree, being misinterpreted. Totally agree with you once again Hugo, whilst it’s nice to be part of a group, if that group strays from the Bible, it’s time to get out! Before reading the Bible, sadly I looked for Yeshua in what I now know to be a cultist-like church, the leaders were always in battle with one another too, but Bible was not part of it and prayers were an afterthought, but my eyes did not truly see. Praise to God, I was taken from that church through illness, although not a great way to find the Lord, and sadly it wasn’t much sooner, I sometimes think He put that illness on me in order to lose tge scales from my eyes. No matter huch way it was, it worked. I am not of any denomination either Hugo, just a follower of Christ. For this they were put in concentration camps along with the Jews. Where many of them died. Nowhere in the bible says that the priesthood was abolished, in fact the book of Hebrews shows how the nature of the priesthood was changed from a blood generation into a spiritual call from God!!! But protestants of course ignore these biblical teachings and distort everything, fabricating new theories and new gospels!!!
Abraham was the first priest, and if you notice the book of Hebrews doesn’t mention Moses, but Abraham; why? A priest can only become a priest by being consecrated by someone superior to him in the priesthood hierarchy, and Abraham had no one superior to him as no priests still existed. So God sent Maltizedek, an angel, to consecrate Abraham as the first priest on earth; then came Aaron and the Levites, then came Jesus which consecrated the apostles as the first bishops in christianity, telling them they had the power to either forgive or NOT forgive… note that Jesus only told this to His apostles, not to other people. In Matthew 6:14-15 Jesus ordered people to forgive others always, but in John 20:23 Jesus only told the apostles that they had to power to either forgive or not… aka, only the clergy has the power to forgive or not forgive, and this doctrine is directly linked with the SACRAMENT OF CONFESSION, where the priest acting in “persona christi” has the power to forgive or not.
So protestant lack a huge chunk of christian doctrine and tradition because they only read the bible, and miss all that God has taught and transmitted to lots of saints, seers, popes, etc, etc… they are missing 2023 years of instructions!!! Popes? yeah, Since ancient times, again God always has chosen a man to be an intermediary between Him and His children; it’s been like that at least since Abraham, then Isaac, then Moses, then the kings and then Jesus chose Peter to be that first intermediary in the christian new era… and this tradition was kept until today and to this we call “apostolic succession”!!!

All religions think they are right as they are written so well and hit all the points people are looking for . The only issue I have is when people become arrogant about what they know and think is right. At the same time when they won’t help other people as they are not part of their clan. I studied with jw for a year and still do , I appreciate their knowldge and understanding of the bible, but question their mind sets. They believe jesus is arc angel michael in human form and will not budge on that. When you go to their kingdom hall they escort you around as if you retarded. Then they have these elders who because of their knowledge they are superior to anyone else. It is almost cult like and they shun all other religions despite people being very pure in some of those relgions. They believe their church will be the only one saved. This is a very top heavy hierarchy org.

If someone who has been disfellowshipped shows that he wants to come back to the congregation, the elders may visit him from time to time to remind him of what he can do to come back to Jehovah. Disfellowshipping keeps the Christian congregation clean. The apostle Paul warned the Corinthians of the danger of letting an unrepentant sinner stay in the congregation. He compared the bad influence of these sinners to that of leaven that causes a batch of dough to rise. Paul said: “A little leaven ferments the whole batch of dough.” Then he counseled them: “Remove the wicked person from among yourselves.”—1 Corinthians 5:6, 11-13.
If the congregation ignores serious sin, some could begin to view God’s standards as unimportant. (ecclesiastes 8:11) just as “rocks hidden below water” can cause shipwreck, unrepentant sinners can destroy the faith of others in the congregation.—jude 4, 12.

But if we earnestly seek guidance from the Lord He will surely guide us.

Because of the Messiah’s resurrection as the first fruits of the dead, mankind is able to receive everlasting life in the presence of the Lord. Without personal acceptance (by faith and by grace) of these truths, the human existence is meritless and hopeless for infinity. Repentance is key and a gift the Holy Spirit is willing to give to anyone who asks. In the end, each human will stand before the throne of the Lord to give an account. You alone will be responsible for belief or non believe in His existence and His Word.

I agree with Hugo that we don’t need to be part of a Christian man made orginization. It is men following men anyway. 1st Timothy 2:5 tells us that only Jesus is our mediator with God. We don’t need a priest in a fancy suit telling us what is right or wrong.
Nothing wrong for Christians to gather together but in the way it is with Christian organizations today, I would rather not join.
I follow certain channels online for news and Bible study though as a helpful tool in my own race.

Any denomination or religion that teaches anything contrary to God’s word – the Bible – is a False church and thereby a CULT. This applies to the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox and many Protestant who teach of salvation by Faith and Works. The Bible properly understood teaches of Salvation by Faith alone (1 Corinthians 15: 1-4; Romans 10: 9-10 & 13; Acts 16: 30-31 amongst others). The Bible teaches us to Rightly Divide God’s word (2 Timothy 2: 15 KJV) – Works should follow Salvation BUT our salvation is not dependant on our works but solely and wholly on the work of Christ Jesus on the cross – this is a vital difference!
Most modern cults, JW’s, Mormons, Christiadelphians, Christian Scientists, all deny the Divinity of Christ – they make Him a created being – again, the Bible, properly understood makes crystal clear His place in the Godhead – Christ is God!
Others, like the Seventh Day Adventists get nearer to the truth but are lost in their legalism – binding us up in the Law, not understanding that Christ came to set us free from the law of sin and death! They also put their founder, false prophet, Ellen G White’s teachings on par with the Bible – yet she amongst many other errors teaches there is no Hell!

Brooke, your comment was beautiful and truth filled. Scripture says that the Bible is to be used to teach, encourage, correct and reproof each other. Assembling together is important. In Genesis, God says that it is not good for man to be alone. It can take time and discernment to find, but the Lord has planted churches all over this world that are Gospel geared and scripturally sound.
