In my opinion, the best diet is the original plant based diet God gave man before the fall. Man was allowed by God to eat meat after the flood; however, the Creator tried to bring the Israelites back to His original diet by taking them in to the wilderness, but they murmured. I was a heavy meat eater, but by choice I swithed to a plant based diet and already feel the benefits.
I currently eat meat but I am a hypocrite because I would never actually kill an animal and butcher it !

I agree with some of what you say, however they ate quail in the wilderness (Exodus 16). I think the grumbling is about the general lack of provisions. Hugo , unless all retailers slowly withdraw meat from their shelves collectively at the same time then it won’t work , people will just buy meat products from a different source , probably at a inflated price . Now I would seek your understanding of acceptable meat from the teachings of the bible . Because from what I’ve been able to learn , it isn’t that easy to know for sure . I know fish with scales and fins is ok but other meats is very difficult , animals with fully split hooves and chew food twice are ok but can’t be strangled or sacrificed ( who knows what is spoken or thought by the workers in the slaughter houses ) . So wouldn’t it be far easier to consume a plant based diet , in order to conform to what is expected ? I enjoy meat myself and have struggled with this .

In my opinion, the best diet is the original plant based diet God gave man before the fall. Man was allowed by God to eat meat after the flood; however, the Creator tried to bring the Israelites back to His original diet by taking them in to the wilderness, but they murmured. I was a heavy meat eater, but by choice I swithed to a plant based diet and already feel the benefits.
I currently eat meat but I am a hypocrite because I would never actually kill an animal and butcher it !
There’s a dissociation with the animal when you grab your pack of meat from your supermarket, I certainly don’t think about the animal it comes from.

I agree with some of what you say, however they ate quail in the wilderness (Exodus 16). I think the grumbling is about the general lack of provisions. We see that Sin happened when people moved from reliance on God to reliance on self (the first cities of Mesopotamia circa 6,000 years ago). I am not sure you need meat proteins as there is a lot of protein in other foods. Okay I realise some plant proteins are not as excessable to the body. This is important to me as I have been bodybuilding for years.

I started a while ago to prepare my own food from scratch, I even bake my own bread from freshly milled organic spelt and organic rye grains, and I only use organic bio yeast which contains no chemicals; that is, it is organically grown. And I want to go one step farther, that is to grow my own greens and vegetables, too.

I would rather prepare all my meals from scratch and even baking my spelt and rye bread; they are delicious. And believe me, if I can do it, a 60 years old man, everyone can do it; there is no excuse.
