Home educated students get no help at all. So we’re actually saving the council /government so much money. Speaking about beautiful churches. During summer I went to Lincoln to see the famous cathedral currently a museum.
Imagine that since the Reformation the Catholics had to build their churches while these Protestant ones are currently empty and Lincoln Cathedral rather than receive thousands of pilgrims like it used to do is like any other museum. At the time they had some flower fair inside the cathedral. Regardless of these beautiful bouquets (women who made them looked very proud of themselves) the place is completely stripped of spirituality. There is only a handful of benches so people cannot even sit there and contemplate I reckon the organizers want them to sit in the museum’s cafe instead.

Hunter you are so totally wrong in what you’re saying about the Anglican Church!! My hubby and I have been attending our local Anglican Parish Church since 2004, and I can assure you that it’s blossoming with a very healthy congregation and a super new Vicar with his Staff Team are doing an absolutely sterling job of sharing the gospel with the people of our town where we live. Our Church is very much alive and blooming thank you very much!!! We are very blessed to have our lovely new Vicar who has real vision for spreading the message of love, joy and peace to the public. On Christmas Eve we had our annual Nativity afternoon, complete with the play, donkey rides for the children, arts and crafts, carol singing and yummy refreshments! We had a massive crowd to watch the play, it was very well received and supported by the public, and I’m personally very proud of my Church. It is a huge privilege to belong to such an outgoing and extremely loving Church Family.

@Gina T, The confrontation thing is something we learn to deal with, with experience, not that I am recommending you go looking for it, but you will be surprised at how well you perform as and when it happens – just keep studying and learning where you stand under The Law, and remember that (((they))) have no Law. Yes you will make mistakes but they are mistakes that you won’t make the second time. I know, I’ve been there. The other secret is to not get bolshy, always stay calm and polite (it’s called staying in honour), but firm, as you have all the rights, all they have is corporate nothingness.

And we’re not going to give up regarding the home schooling and exams. My kiddies are so motivated and studious. I’m a very proud mama and they deserve the same chances that school children are given. I actually found a government declaration published last year stating that all children, be they mainstream school.educated or home educated, are entitled to an education INCLUDING the chance to take EXAMS. I’ve written to MPs and been treated like a nobody if, indeed I received a reply at all!
Without exams to one’s name, society can be very judgemental.

(In latter years I’ve learned that FIZZOGS is actually from the word “physiognomy” (the study of faces) so my mum wasn’t as daft as she made out to be). I have been an insomniac since I was 19. As the years go by it becomes a tad more difficult to deal with but I’m not giving in to it and won’t resort to meds.

I very much appreciated your reassuring comment regarding home education. Sadly I’m finding it harder to locate anywhere who’ll allow home educated students to sit exams in their college or school. My daughters have had to travel out of the county this past year and, this coming year, the nearest place is Bristol. It’s not fair. And it’s not like we’re funded like school children are. Home educated students get no help at all. So we’re actually saving the council /government so much money. It beats me why they can’t just allow home schooled kids to sit exams somewhere local which was the case up until a couple of years ago when all this hoo-ha lockdown bunkum kicked off…. Anyway..

Speaking about beautiful churches. During summer I went to Lincoln to see the famous cathedral currently a museum.
Imagine that since the Reformation the Catholics had to build their churches while these Protestant ones are currently empty and Lincoln Cathedral rather than receive thousands of pilgrims like it used to do is like any other museum. At the time they had some flower fair inside the cathedral. Regardless of these beautiful bouquets (women who made them looked very proud of themselves) the place is completely stripped of spirituality. There is only a handful of benches so people cannot even sit there and contemplate I reckon the organizers want them to sit in the museum’s cafe instead.

This kind of adjustments won’t come out of the sky. In the name of protest you can also withhold your donations.
In terms of sermons you have to understand that not each and every sermon is dedicated to you but others as well. I use to catch myself on that as I use to expect the priest to always say a powerful sermon with a punchline.
You have a better chance of changing something if you do it from within the organisation than complaining e.g. in here.
Hunter you are so totally wrong in what you’re saying about the Anglican Church!! My hubby and I have been attending our local Anglican Parish Church since 2004, and I can assure you that it’s blossoming with a very healthy congregation and a super new Vicar with his Staff Team are doing an absolutely sterling job of sharing the gospel with the people of our town where we live. Our Church is very much alive and blooming thank you very much!!! We are very blessed to have our lovely new Vicar who has real vision for spreading the message of love, joy and peace to the public. On Christmas Eve we had our annual Nativity afternoon, complete with the play, donkey rides for the children, arts and crafts, carol singing and yummy refreshments! We had a massive crowd to watch the play, it was very well received and supported by the public, and I’m personally very proud of my Church. It is a huge privilege to belong to such an outgoing and extremely loving Church Family.

13 years without telly, newspapers and all that jazz. I’ve not missed it or pined for it once.! It’s given me (and my kiddies) so much more quality time with each other and although we can watch dvds on a little portable player (old comedies and films with dancing and singing..ah the innocence ), we actually talk (most sheeple are losing the ability without “chatting”by typing on their phones) with each other and love reading books and learning. Yippeeeeeeeeeeee

@Gina T, The confrontation thing is something we learn to deal with, with experience, not that I am recommending you go looking for it, but you will be surprised at how well you perform as and when it happens – just keep studying and learning where you stand under The Law, and remember that (((they))) have no Law. Yes you will make mistakes but they are mistakes that you won’t make the second time. I know, I’ve been there. The other secret is to not get bolshy, always stay calm and polite (it’s called staying in honour), but firm, as you have all the rights, all they have is corporate nothingness.

State schools have not taught Latin since the 1950’s and they would have been Grammar Schools, not Secondary Modern schools – Communist Comprehensive Schools, that came later, didn’t teach our children anything other than political correctness and now gender pronoun crap. My mum and dad had no money or position and I went to the ordinary old local school, a ferry ride and 2mile walk each way, daily.. Dear old, lowly comprehensive school.
My teachers were mainly those who had also taught my brother, 12 years previously.. It had been a boys Grammar school but in the 70s, combined with the girls High school and secondary modern to create the comprehensive school I’m guessing I was just lucky to have been able to take Latin. Apparently I was one of the clever kids. Hehe. What happened? ? (Nothing like a good bit of self-deprecation).

Just like MPs not knowing what I’m asking when I explained in very simple terms that there’s suddenly nowhere in Cornwall for external candidates to sit A levels and they’re discrimination goes against a government declaration published just over a year ago, stating that all children, be they mainstream school-educated or home educated, are entitled to an education INCLUDING EXAMS.

@Gina T, Oh yes ‘playing dumb’ is one of their favourite tricks, and that’s because their ‘legalese’ is a foreign language in English, so they will be thinking in legalese whilst reading our communications that are written in plain English and claim that they didn’t understand it. This would not been seen by them as lying as they are thinking in legalese. It’s all a game to them as they sit on the bench and defraud the people of their money, their property and possessions, and sometimes their freedom.

And we’re not going to give up regarding the home schooling and exams. My kiddies are so motivated and studious. I’m a very proud mama and they deserve the same chances that school children are given. I actually found a government declaration published last year stating that all children, be they mainstream school.educated or home educated, are entitled to an education INCLUDING the chance to take EXAMS. I’ve written to MPs and been treated like a nobody if, indeed I received a reply at all!
Without exams to one’s name, society can be very judgemental.
I’m just surprised more people aren’t saying anything about that subject.

Bringing up children the hardest job ? Testing and emotional, yes. Especially when hurdles are put in the way by toxic family members . But definitely my best and most rewarding experience ever. My children are the best people I’ve ever known.
