I’m bombarded with sound waves all day whilst indoors, driving me crazy. I thought that I have tinnitus, but it seems to stop when I go out. Just had two new street lights put either side of my flat on the same level as my windows. I’m convinced that they are causing my problem, so much so that I’ve disabled one of them, in less than two days it was up and running again. I know that you probably think I’m a bit crazy but I never experienced anything like this before they installed them, has anyone got any ideas on how to test if they are giving off some kind of signal. I will end up with a conviction for criminal damage if I don’t get it sorted.. If I were to have a smart meter, that would be another signal flying around my head. No thanks..
I don’t think you are crazy. You may be very sensitive to certain sounds or microwaves… It could be the new lights are Smart lights? These have WiFi installed in them and use UV light. They are part of a new type of surveillance and monitoring system. The USA is already doing it. My only suggestion would be to try earduffs or move… It sounds awful.

Hi – I hear the ‘sound waves’ too and it’s not tinnitus – but does come from the man-made radiation we are being drenched in. I hear a high-pitched sound, especially when other things are quiet, which alters pitch sometimes in a way that the very first routers used to when they connected to the internet via cable (but not as loud).
There are people who will come and measure the radiation in your home and from different appliances (/streetlamps) etc. I believe that the meters that you buy to measure radiation need to be able to cover a range of wavelengths. The main problem, even if you measure the radiation levels, is that authorities (and those who wish to have this stuff) are still using far-outdated guidelines as to what is ‘safe’. Basically, they take the line that if it’s not ‘cooking you’ it’s okay!!!!!! Just like living things are just a piece of meat and do not have a mass of complex chemical/physical/electrical interactions which need to stay in balance.
I have read that the new energy-saving bulbs give off much more radiation than the old-fashioned ones (and cause dirty electricity in the circuit) – but we also know that streetlamps are being used to house wireless devices which are part of the ‘smart-grid’.
I’ve got tinnitus. Had it for four years. The only time I’m not troubled is when I’m asleep. I put it down to all the 4G and now 5G frequency masts that are everywhere. And using a cellular tablet to go on the internet.

I volunteer for a group which helps people with their debt (group not connected to the government or any charities). We have been advising people not to get smart meters. The utilities companies used to have to lie to the magistrates’ court when they needed a warrant to break in to people’s homes to put in a prepayment meter. They would claim it was concerns about gas safety. Now they don’t have to obtain warrants, as they can change the smart meters to pre-payment meters remotely. This is a real problem for people – if they haven’t got the money to put in the meter, they won’t have any power. At least with quarterly or monthly bills, people could pay them when the money arrived in their bank accounts, whether from work or from benefits.
not to mention that smart meters radiate damaging EMF as well; and they’re telling us that having an electric car has a double benefit: you can use the electricity from your car to power your home if there’s a power outage; sounds good, eh? Well, it also means that when there’s a n outage, they’ll tell you you have to give back the electricity in your car battery “for the good of your neighbors.” And if you don’t? I keep (and will keep doing so) refusing a smart meter but the last time they tried to push one on me the guy got really angry and said that by the end of next year we won’t have a choice, that it will be illegal not to have one…whether this is true or whether he thought it would scare me into having one I don’t know but I will continue refusing and will do so unless they break in and fit one
I have ignored letters from my energy supplier every time they say they want to install a smart meter as I have no intention of having one.
Two days ago I got a letter from them offering free gifts if we get one and they are saying my meter needs to be changed as it has come to the end of its life yet it was only put in about 4 or 5 years ago. I think they are just saying this to try and make me change to a smart meter.
When the man came to read my meter last time he said he would not have a smart meter and the only people who benefit from them are the energy suppliers themselves.
I am now going to respond by saying I will only have a traditional meter put in but not a smart one but am worried that they might put a smart meter in without me knowing. We know why they are so desperate for us to have a smart meter, trying to brainwash everyone, putting adverts on tv. Even on my local Nextdoor site has adverts popping up about them.

Facebook have been doing the verify by sending a text to the mobile phone number for a long time.now. They did that to me 6 months ago and it’s a pain in the ass and there is no way for me to disable it. And I have tried but cannot. Because many time I don’t get the text FB send me so I am often locked out of my FB account. Because no verification code I cannot log in and how can I get the code when I am not getting the text FB send? The whole thing is friggin ridiculous. I think they are doing it on purpose to make it more difficult for us so that we will get so fed up we will stop posting on social media. It’s wrong.

However, a law in the Netherlands, that one is not allowed to come behind the front door without being asked / to enter against the will of the resident, fortunately prevented this (house trespass).
Although we lodged an objection, we received the same request again after 7 years; they probably hoped that new, more willing residents would live there by now.
The massive roll-out of the water meters has recently started. Everywhere in the Netherlands. This is even sneakier. The appointment was already made and you have to make an effort to cancel it. It is (still) an analog meter. This has the ‘advantage’ that it can easily be converted to digital in the future. This information came from decision documents of the municipalities.
So many are misled. And the water companies explicitly say that they are not smart meters. Not yet …
There’s the issue of deception. Though, the information may have been put out there, it may not always be easily found. Finding the truth certainly isn’t easy, and can take a lot of time; time people may not have. And, what about the people who, for whatever reason, simply cannot discern the truth? My point is that, even though the information has been put out there for us to see, that doesn’t mean the perpetrators are off the hook. Not by a long shot.

We keep getting pushy communications from the electricity provider, alternating from nice to nasty. What part of “no” don’t they understand? Their boss has confirmed it is not compulsory and neighbours have had it installed and it didn’t work. We know what it’s really all about!

We have a 1947 house with the leccy meter box on the outside wall. Apparently our house can’t have a smart meter (after a brief worrying week of them trying to push us into it a while ago). What a blessing! There must be thousands of houses like this where they can’t just whack in a smart meter and get their way?
I had my energy company go bust a year ago . I was switched the British Gas.I live in rented acc for older people. Modern building with so called easy energy efficiency water heater . Works on Ecomony 7. After the switch over boiler stopped working. Long story so will skip through the amount of time it was off. Happened three times . Usually when clock change in Spring / Autumn . Or when they read the meter remotely. Anyhow after a year of this, and fixing it remotely only for it stop working again, I was told British Gas can’t fix the problem as the smart meter that was in when I moved here , isn’t compatible to their system . Only way they can fix it is to remove the smart meter for a DUMB one, as British Gas can’t do economy 7 ✅ So this is what they did, put in a dumb meter .I never told them how delightful that was to go back in time. 😂

Can somebody please help? I am in rented accommodation and currently have analogue meters. But my water company is trying to force one on me and recently, my gas meter has played up so likely they will insist on changing it for a smart meter. I had severe health problems from one previously but the companies state it’s not proof, only information! Doctors won’t back people like me up either. The companies keep stating Public Health England say they are safe and that’s that.
How can I stop them all? Do I send a notice of non consent and if so, how do I write it to ensure it is effective?
Hi Mary I am in Australia, so this may be different for you, but I sent a notice to the electricity and gas supply companies and printed a notice which I put at the analogue meters which tells them NOT to install a smart meter. This has worked for the electricity meter as a man DID come to replace the meter and knocked my door to ask me about the notice. I think others in other States haven’t been so fortunate. If your name is on the bill the contract is between you and the supplier (not the landlord) they can not force a smart meter on you and if you receive a letter stating they are coming to fit one DO NOT IGNORE IT, Ignoring a letter can mean you are accepting installation by default. I have heard companies are saying “You’re meter is very old or at risk of failure, we want to replace it” this is a an obvious ploy to persuade vulnerable people to comply, refuse.

We don’t have a smart meter thankfully, my goodness they sound absolutely horrendous!! We definitely won’t be getting one of those! Going on to a different subject here, this afternoon my doctor’s surgery texted me saying that they use the my gp app, and they obviously want me to sign up for it. Anyway I checked their website, and there’s absolutely no mention of them using this app at all, not for repeat prescriptions or anything. Very fishy! But they are using the NHS App, and it very clearly says they want all their patients to sign up for it, which I absolutely won’t do because they will constantly harass me about convid jabs. I feel that they are trying to control me, and I smelt a rat, realised that they were lying about the app. Just as well I thought to check their website out, cos they are clearly lying!! They’re not using my gp, so why the hell send me a text saying that they are??????? Something very wrong here!! I have repeat prescriptions which my hubby has set up to be done by e-mail, but I think the surgery are trying to manipulate me into using the NHS app. I would really appreciate some advice here please. What do people here think? Am I right to be worried? Something really smells off!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m bombarded with sound waves all day whilst indoors, driving me crazy. I thought that I have tinnitus, but it seems to stop when I go out. Just had two new street lights put either side of my flat on the same level as my windows. I’m convinced that they are causing my problem, so much so that I’ve disabled one of them, in less than two days it was up and running again. I know that you probably think I’m a bit crazy but I never experienced anything like this before they installed them, has anyone got any ideas on how to test if they are giving off some kind of signal. I will end up with a conviction for criminal damage if I don’t get it sorted.. If I were to have a smart meter, that would be another signal flying around my head. No thanks..

Hi – I hear the ‘sound waves’ too and it’s not tinnitus – but does come from the man-made radiation we are being drenched in. I hear a high-pitched sound, especially when other things are quiet, which alters pitch sometimes in a way that the very first routers used to when they connected to the internet via cable (but not as loud).
There are people who will come and measure the radiation in your home and from different appliances (/streetlamps) etc. I believe that the meters that you buy to measure radiation need to be able to cover a range of wavelengths. The main problem, even if you measure the radiation levels, is that authorities (and those who wish to have this stuff) are still using far-outdated guidelines as to what is ‘safe’. Basically, they take the line that if it’s not ‘cooking you’ it’s okay!!!!!! Just like living things are just a piece of meat and do not have a mass of complex chemical/physical/electrical interactions which need to stay in balance.
I have read that the new energy-saving bulbs give off much more radiation than the old-fashioned ones (and cause dirty electricity in the circuit) – but we also know that streetlamps are being used to house wireless devices which are part of the ‘smart-grid’.

I volunteer for a group which helps people with their debt (group not connected to the government or any charities). We have been advising people not to get smart meters. The utilities companies used to have to lie to the magistrates’ court when they needed a warrant to break in to people’s homes to put in a prepayment meter. They would claim it was concerns about gas safety. Now they don’t have to obtain warrants, as they can change the smart meters to pre-payment meters remotely. This is a real problem for people – if they haven’t got the money to put in the meter, they won’t have any power. At least with quarterly or monthly bills, people could pay them when the money arrived in their bank accounts, whether from work or from benefits.

I keep (and will keep doing so) refusing a smart meter but the last time they tried to push one on me the guy got really angry and said that by the end of next year we won’t have a choice, that it will be illegal not to have one…whether this is true or whether he thought it would scare me into having one I don’t know but I will continue refusing and will do so unless they break in and fit one

I have ignored letters from my energy supplier every time they say they want to install a smart meter as I have no intention of having one.
Two days ago I got a letter from them offering free gifts if we get one and they are saying my meter needs to be changed as it has come to the end of its life yet it was only put in about 4 or 5 years ago. I think they are just saying this to try and make me change to a smart meter.
When the man came to read my meter last time he said he would not have a smart meter and the only people who benefit from them are the energy suppliers themselves.
I am now going to respond by saying I will only have a traditional meter put in but not a smart one but am worried that they might put a smart meter in without me knowing. We know why they are so desperate for us to have a smart meter, trying to brainwash everyone, putting adverts on tv. Even on my local Nextdoor site has adverts popping up about them.

Facebook have been doing the verify by sending a text to the mobile phone number for a long time.now. They did that to me 6 months ago and it’s a pain in the ass and there is no way for me to disable it. And I have tried but cannot. So many are misled. And the water companies explicitly say that they are not smart meters. Not yet …
In the UK, case law shows that you can remove the implied right of access by telling someone to leave… if they don’t then they become a trespasser.
There’s the issue of deception. Though, the information may have been put out there, it may not always be easily found. I had my energy company go bust a year ago . I was switched the British Gas.I live in rented acc for older people. Modern building with so called easy energy efficiency water heater . Works on Ecomony 7. After the switch over boiler stopped working. Long story so will skip through the amount of time it was off. Happened three times . Usually when clock change in Spring / Autumn . Or when they read the meter remotely. Anyhow after a year of this, and fixing it remotely only for it stop working again, I was told British Gas can’t fix the problem as the smart meter that was in when I moved here , isn’t compatible to their system . Only way they can fix it is to remove the smart meter for a DUMB one, as British Gas can’t do economy 7 ✅ So this is what they did, put in a dumb meter .I never told them how delightful that was to go back in time. 😂

Can somebody please help? I am in rented accommodation and currently have analogue meters. But my water company is trying to force one on me and recently, my gas meter has played up so likely they will insist on changing it for a smart meter. I had severe health problems from one previously but the companies state it’s not proof, only information! Doctors won’t back people like me up either. The companies keep stating Public Health England say they are safe and that’s that.
How can I stop them all? Do I send a notice of non consent and if so, how do I write it to ensure it is effective?
Hi Mary I am in Australia, so this may be different for you, but I sent a notice to the electricity and gas supply companies and printed a notice which I put at the analogue meters which tells them NOT to install a smart meter. This has worked for the electricity meter as a man DID come to replace the meter and knocked my door to ask me about the notice. I think others in other States haven’t been so fortunate. If your name is on the bill the contract is between you and the supplier (not the landlord) they can not force a smart meter on you and if you receive a letter stating they are coming to fit one DO NOT IGNORE IT, Ignoring a letter can mean you are accepting installation by default. I have heard companies are saying “You’re meter is very old or at risk of failure, we want to replace it” this is a an obvious ploy to persuade vulnerable people to comply, refuse.

We don’t have a smart meter thankfully, my goodness they sound absolutely horrendous!! We definitely won’t be getting one of those! Going on to a different subject here, this afternoon my doctor’s surgery texted me saying that they use the my gp app, and they obviously want me to sign up for it. Anyway I checked their website, and there’s absolutely no mention of them using this app at all, not for repeat prescriptions or anything. Very fishy! But they are using the NHS App, and it very clearly says they want all their patients to sign up for it, which I absolutely won’t do because they will constantly harass me about convid jabs. I feel that they are trying to control me, and I smelt a rat, realised that they were lying about the app. Just as well I thought to check their website out, cos they are clearly lying!! They’re not using my gp, so why the hell send me a text saying that they are??????? Something very wrong here!! I have repeat prescriptions which my hubby has set up to be done by e-mail, but I think the surgery are trying to manipulate me into using the NHS app. I would really appreciate some advice here please. What do people here think? Am I right to be worried? Something really smells off!!!!!!!!!!!
