  1. Still have a £1 Coin meter here and my landlord doesn’t want to change either. Well Result !! 🙂

  2. How much effort does it take to read a couple of meters? And you have the piece of mind knowing that the reading is correct. They can go stuff their smart meters up their dates.

  3. It won’t be anything like the old ‘white meter’ tariff with the lower tariff between 11pm and 7pm in order to charge up storage radiators. With this the price will shoot up at 7pm in the evening and surge and during the ad breaks in the moronic soap operas as everyone rushes to put on a kettle. It will be a ‘luxury’ to use electricity in the evenings. Not to mention all the household squabbling and fights it will cause. Who in their right mind wants to be controlled to such an extent.

  4. Whot da fux dat all bout? I ain’t getting no smart meter controlling me and knowing how da fuk I use electrik to change my behaviur. Do I look like a d!ckhead?

  5. I’ve got key meter and they can fuckoff av told my elec company no chance & I was supposed to have one installed but coz of covi it didn’t happen thankgod and they can stick it up they’re ass am forced to live on universal credit death sentence as it is so they can fucking shove it plus my elec company told me I don’t need to have one and I refuse point blank a mean soring elec prices and food prices ffs today nipped corner shop all had is £1 left now before these price hikes I couldhv got a little loaf for under £1 but now no it’s up to over £1 wtf for mini loaf so no loaf today how the fuck is anybody supposed to survive this fucking hell and this universal basic income is universal credit in a fucking nutshell they’ll bribe ya with the advanced payment & all rest of fucking lies then as soon as youve signed up for it bam they’ve fucking got ya trapped they’re all a bunch of cunts big time don’t fall for it the dole etc etc are all bastards this hell is gonna lead to civil war bring it on oh and today here in Scotland we’ve had snow again so gotta have heating on up till in my room at least coz my damm chest from hell but hay who here is with octopus energy ???? coz they told me they’re giving out electric blankets am waiting on mine but no smart meter no chance

  6. Have yet to hear somebody say they have saved money with a smart meter.

Have an uncle thats now addicted to watching what he is using. Didn’t know how much a light bulb costs to run!!. So will now sit in the dark. I just said “ what a sad life your creating for yourself”. Still wearing masks and longing for boosters. Falls for all the shit on the BBC. If you try to correct what he’s been brainwashed with he says its nonsense. Heaven help him cause I give up.

  7. I ALREADY had one came with boiler my trustee who was over see the up Grade wanted it she sorted boiler out i use to have one on wall mine rates fixed

  8. Read somewhere they interfere with signals etc…
Just another way to get people on digital shit from the lazy bastards phone life…
Digital ID (jab pass) and surveillance is what they want the goons on😷🐑🐑🐑🐑💉💉💉💉

  9. Some give out 700 times more radiation than smart phones and they can switch them off whenever they want!! Also we have already paid for electricity as we own the national grid and fund it through the tax extortion racket the only thing you are paying these companies for is the hire of their meter! Which you have the right under Law to replace with your own meter although as an electrician I would advice against doing this yourself, get a professional! Also has everyone heard about the new XE variant? Just done a blog post on it here https://worriedmum.blog/2022/04/05/xe-variant/

    • Also these things which plug in are just monitors they are not meters as meters are on the supply coming in! Just another way to spy and tell you, you are using too much and limit how much you get also if it can read through a socket how much you are using what else can it read through a socket?? No thanks!

  10. If you get pestered by your supplier, tell them you have someone living on the premises who has a pacemaker, as it’s been proven than smart meters interfere with their running and I it can be dangerous for that person’s health. I did it and they stopped calling. Don’t forget, smart means state control. Nits not there to help you in any way.

    • Ask them to get their CEO to sign a disclaimer accepting liability for any health conditions which may arise from having one or tell them you will accept one on the condition they supply an insurance policy to cover for any health conditions from them because no insurance company will supply this!

  11. imagine the rows and pressure now on families paranoid about every penny as they watch their new meters. living by the smart gadgets is all most people do anyway these days. people wont only accept this theyll believe its great!!!! cos theyre so unsmart. dont be one of them.

  12. You only have to ask what does it run off? It ain’t fresh air. These companies will rip us all off and we’re helping them?

  13. Emma Kennedy, in this video is a right nasty piece of work. I’ve not got a smart meter, I went back to a basic thermostat as the one I had was always going wrong.

  14. Ultimately they will switch off the energy remotely as it suits them ‘to combat climate change.’ Or maybe when your carbon credits run out. Remember: You’ll own nothing and be happy (or at least freezing).

  15. Next up…

Mum [why is it always a ‘mum’?] says she’s given up on toilet roll and instead has pile of rags she washes weekly

Now that we’re all becoming more aware of the impact our purchasing choices can have on the planet, many of us are swapping out our typical buys for eco-friendly alternatives.

But would you consider switching up your bathroom habits to switch to a greener alternative that saves you money?

One person who has is YouTuber and mother-of-seven Jayme Janelle who uses “family cloth” instead of toilet paper.

  16. Scottish Power has hassled the life out of me by phone urging me to switch to a ‘wonderful SMART meter’. The sales guff was always… ‘Our fitters are in your area. We can come and install your SMART meter… for FREE?’ They always ask why I have turned down their ‘wonderful offer’. I first ask the salesperson how much he/she knows about EMF and 5G? That usually stops them in their tracks. While they are thinking about it, I explain that I know what they’re up to. When I lived in the US, the SMART meter roll-out was widely resisted. The regular meter was outside on the wall, and campaigning groups suggested posting a sign stating that the power company would be sued if they ‘trespassed’ and installed a meter without the home owner’s permission. However… the smug power company simply said: ‘OK, if you choose NOT to have a SMART meter, we will put you on a higher tariff and rack up your usage charges. Hugo and other commentators here are right on the button… it’s another step towards being controlled and I ain’t having it. Say ‘no’, folks. There’s nothing SMART about these devices: they’re a menace. Remember, WE ARE THE RESISTANCE.

  17. copy this to send to the utilities company.
    NOTICE OF LIABILITY

    Dear (DIRECTOR OF UTILITIES NAME)

    I am writing to inform you that I do NOT give consent for any smart meter to be installed in my property. It is common knowledge, and supported by peer reviewed evidence and scientifically published research that ‘advanced’ utility meters (ie smart meters) are;
    harmful
    • Fire hazards.
    • Cannot withstand typical grid surges
    • Cause damage to homes and structures when damaged by surges.
    • Emit biologically harmful pulsed EMF radiation.
    • Collect personal data of private activities in the home in violation of Article 8 of the human rights act (Rights to Privacy).
    • Fatally disrupt and disable medical devices such as Pacemakers.
    • Cause heating and antenna effects upon any metal body implants which damage body tissues.
    • Represent excess equipment costs with more expensive meters and represent more frequent replacement of the more expensive meters, all of which costs will be passed on to ratepayers via excess and unnecessary charges.
    • Represents higher service costs in the processing and storing of data collected and general maintenance of the wireless grid network.

None of the above can be authorised by any lawful easement contract. As a major utilities provider, the liabilities (criminal and financial) will arise for which you are fully and personally responsible as authorising and administering the policies which were brought about. I, as a utility customers, cannot lawfully be required to assume such hazards and damages as a condition of receiving electric service or as a means of extortion of additional service payments from us in return for safe, lawful and reliable metering – which has been provided for many decades without any such penalty charges.

    NOTICE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
I must be provided permanently and at no additional cost, a safe and lawful electromechanical utility meter with absolutely zero electronic components within 21 days. Any claim that electromechanical meters are “not available” is false. If you refuse or fail to provide or allow safe, reliable and lawful electromechanical metering timely, I require full payment, insurance and assurance of liability for all hazards listed above and any hazards not yet anticipated. That assumption of liability and responsibility must include you providing a name and address where my claims may be filed and paid WITHOUT HESITATION OR QUESTION to remedy any harm, injury, loss, damage or violation of rights caused by the above described electronic utility metering hazards, defects and offensive features and functions.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTICED THAT YOU ARE PERSONALLY CAUSING HARM AND DAMAGE WITH YOUR METERING DEVICES AND PROGRAMMES AND YOU ARE FULLY AND PERSONALLY LIABLE FOR ALL CONSEQUENCES OF THAT METERING POLICY IF YOU FAIL TO CEASE AND DESIST THE ABOVE HAZARDS AND VIOLATIONS TIMELY.

If, having failed to provide the safe and lawful metering described above, you additionally fail or refuse to provide the above assurance of liability and responsibility timely, you will be in default and fully and personally accountable, liable and responsible for all consequences. These include

damages, harm, injuries, losses, violations of rights, trespass, bad faith, negligence, nuisance and malice associated with your electronic metering devices and programs. Your failure to timely provide insurance and claim information described above is agreement to personally pay for all claims as described above. You will also, by any failure or refusal to provide insurance and claim contacts described above, be putting up and offering your company’s resources for prompt and uncontested settlement of our claims whenever they may be submitted.

Any failure to pay any reasonable claim within 30 days will obligate you to pay all collection costs, legal costs and expenses, court fees and all incidental costs and expenses we may find necessary to secure settlement and collection of our claims.

Any rebuttal to this notice must be supported by fact, law and evidence and must be submitted to me directly via post. Urgency dictates that no “grace” period will be allowed beyond 21 days from this delivery other than reasonable time for mail delivery. Failure to respond in writing within 21 days constitutes full and final default. If you require up to 15 additional days to respond you may request that in writing prior to default. I will determine if your metering activities and policies will allow the extension and we will notify you in writing if extension is granted.

Notice to principal is notice to agent and notice to agent is notice to principle. This is an adhesion contract with power and effect by default.

    Sincerely,
    (signature)
    (printed name)

  18. I just phoned up my elec company octopus energy and told them again I don’t want a smart meter and have the guy a lecture and I feel him been uncomfortable but tough anyway they said they’re not gonna force me to get one and they’ve put a note on my account and I have been hassled I’m the past to get one but no chance and octopus are giving out free electric blankets and I know coz am waiting on mine plus octopus said they’re gonna be charging customers £50 under the cap and in the past sse eon bulb never did that nor did they give out free elec blankets either and I told octopus about what you said hugo about smart meters so they know I’m not a pushover & so no smart meter for me thankgod and thankyou hugo for doing this your a life saver mate keep up the good job

  19. Meter or not, it’s not like I’ll switch off the TV in the front room or the light that nobody is using.

Work out great for the social credit score won’t it, take too long blow drying your hair and you’ll power will be off for 6hrs as a punishment.

  20. It is also getting crazier in the Netherlands. Read in our newspaper that government buildings turn down their thermostats three degrees for climate. Also municipality of Amsterdam with Groen Links in government just go along with this put something warm if you have to go to the town hall. But we are doing so well here. Zzzźz

  21. Would be interesting to know what percentage of smart meter owners are snake oiled

    • Well everyone I know/knew that was jabbed had one, so I’d say a fair few

  22. Once the human rights act is withered by this government they will make these so called smart meters mandatory.

  23. Yes, Hugo, most people are that stupid. I never thought of myself as exceptionally intelligent, but I have learned that most people are just idiots.

  24. Not so long ago nobody had a smart meter , nobody had gas or electric . Most had nothing but their faith which gave comfort / happiness . Great reset indeed , a spiritual one needed by most . Was ‘ easy life ‘ prophesied in ones tribulation …

  25. Don’t trust government, corporates or the MSM, period.

  26. Beware being told they want to come “in order to service your meter”. That was the scam tried on me. “Are you going to change the meter to a smart meter? I asked. “Yes”, was the reply. I politely told them to f off.

    • It’s our constitutional right Not to have one Andy

So good on ya telling them we’re stick it!

  27. My company have been banging on to me about it for couple years, every call I have to make to them, it’s always asked!!

    And my reply is Always
    Errrrr… NO!!!

And standing watching it as you say people doing Hugo, well those people seriously need to get out more!! &
    Get a life!

    Thank you Hugo
    Have great day Every one
Keep smiling & laugh at the crazy shite 😉

  28. Unfortunately I had a smart meter installed in my house 6 years ago before I new of any of this terrible situation we now face I asked if I could have it removed and was told no we don’t go backwards . There is nothing I can do .

  29. Please don’t get one of these meters – the one in my house was making me ill – and trying to get it removed was a nightmare. I was lied to and patronised by the water company – actually told that I ‘could’ go to prison if I removed it myself.

You have to ask yourself – why are governments so desperate to get everyone to have one of these? Why do they spend vast amounts advertising them? Why do they so vehemently deny the (well documented) health risks? And – how is it that a meter which uses electricity (paid for by you) to function ‘saves’ energy when analogue meters don’t use electricity?

I’d like to know how much money has been spent on promoting, conning and attempting to bully people into having one of these in their home/workplace.

    • Electricity meters are powered from the supply side. Their electricity consumption is ‘unmetered’.

      • Okay thanks – presumably not the gas or water meters though?

      • Without a visual inspection of your premises it is impossible to say, but if there are any gas/water meters with a digital display they would be wired into your consumer unit. It is not like an ‘analogue’ meter display driven by cogs turning via gas/water flow to measure consumption. I wouldn’t worry about them running you up a huge bill; power consumption from a meter with a digital display and a few microchips inside would be minimal anyway.

    • @Sarah You can LAWFULLY install your own meter by taking their’s out and leaving it the street, without your property boundary, and serve notice on them that you will be notifying them in the future of your consumption from readings from your own meter.

      • Thank you – in the end I just told them to take me to court then – and they did eventually change it. This is useful to know for anyone stuck with one.

      • Haven’t we been through this before? It is an offence to remove/tamper with electricity meters. If you are suspected of illegally ‘abstracting’ electricity you will be back-billed for what you are ‘estimated’ to have used. Now you are going to go into Free Wo/man of the Land mode and rant on about the difference between ‘legal’ and ‘lawful’.

      • Can I purchase and install or remove my own meter?

‘No, it is illegal and unsafe to do so. Other than some limited exceptions the utility owns and maintains the metering equipment. This includes electric and gas meters used for measurement and billing, and other equipment such as transformers on the ground or on a pole. Removing or tampering with the property creates a safety issue, which may result in termination of service, and is considered a crime. If done improperly it can result in serious injury or death. Licensed electricians must contact utilities when work requires a meter to be removed, reset, or the power cut or reconnected at a customer premise.

        https://www.whatissmartenergy.org/faqs/can-i-purchase-and-install-or-remove-my-own-meter

Oh, but look it is ‘illegal’ not ‘unlawful’.

      • Why don’t you tell ‘moneysavingexpert’ about this electricity meter ‘hack’? I am sure he would love to hear.

      • @Sarah Yes, just get a sparks (electrician) who’s switched on (pardon the pun) and he’ll do it if you pay him cash – no questions asked. And pay no attention to the likes of government agents like Senga, whose arse squeaks when he walks. LMAO!

      • What is the point of this meter change lark? Is it to get rid of a ‘smart’ meter? Or do you think you will get away with feeding the electricity company bogus readings from your ‘private’ meter? Pay no attention to the bsdoctrine unless you enjoy prison food. And by the way bs doctrine have YOU swapped out your meter? I bet you haven’t – because you don’t practice what you preach!

      • ‘cash – no questions asked.’ That sounds really legit – not!

      • As it says on the job advert a sudden drop in consumption is one of the ways that they catch people out. I wonder if you ‘private’ meter will get past the ‘Revenue Protection Officer’. Electricity companies have no qualms about smashing your door in. Your Freewo/man of the Land nonsense will cut no ice with these thugs.

      • @Senga the Commie government agent troll. On yer way usury, taxation and inflation tread mill slave. Your slave status gives you no rights at all, so you can just shut it, for no one is listening to your conformist crap, and your slave masters are laughing their heads off and saying: “If only all our proles and plebs were like this Senga brainwashed jerk, we would have no trouble at all.” LOL

      • @Senga the Commie government agent. “‘cash – no questions asked.’ That sounds really legit – not!”

Anything ‘Legit’ Legal or Licensed is UNLAWFUL = Admiralty Jurisdiction, enforced by black robed devils in criminal de facto courts! Your masters!!

      • @Senga The traitor scum bag vermin of Hugo Talk’s threads. ‘Revenue Protection Officer’??? Would be a relation of the old INLAND Revenue Officer from OFF OF THE SEA and yet more piracy and privateering = pillaging, plunder and extortion? What’s it like defending Black Beard 2022?

      • I am not defending anyone let alone power companies. You still haven’t answered the question as to what the intent of this meter swap-out is? You would still have a ‘supplier’. By ‘submitting your own readings’ do you mean false readings? It would be great if it worked but do you really think you would get away with it? These power companies mean business – if they detect anything suspicious they will check it out – the job advert proves it.

      • @Senga the Commie Government shill. Yes you are you lying illegitimate – you come on here spewing your ‘system’ garbage, which by default is a defence of the system, which I believe you’re an agent for. My meter, if I had one, would be just as accurate as theirs.

      • You are STILL not answering the question. What would be point in installing your own electricity meter? What benefit(s) does it bring you?

  30. Stop smart meters Fb page – http://www.stopsmartmeters.org via duck duck go obviously and there is a way to get rid of those evil smart meters but you have to read up all about the legal stuff first or speak to lawyer first and it’s smart meters & 5G and eventually there’s gonna be water meters same fucking no chance fuck them no way and smart meters are the new big brother peek a boo smart meters are watching you

  31. The 70s and 80s were good times to grow up in.
Hope aliens do invade might be a chance to get off planet earth..

      • Dawn Porter Smart meters are only good for the criminals that install them. That’s why I recommend that people take them out and put their own meter in – always use an electrician to do it.

      • Why are you recommending that others do what you don’t do yourself? Why don’t you practice what you preach? You STILL haven’t answered the question. What are the benefit(s) of installing your own meter? I recommend that no one listens to the delusional idiot known as the bs doctrine’s ‘advice’.

      • Smartmeters are very dangerous. Not only are they a massive fire risk, they make people very sick. It’s a cumulative process. Years ago, I had to lose a home, my dreams, money etc to leave a place with sick building syndrome because there was so much wifi. I made some recovery, but never back to what I was. Then I moved into a rented flat and, after getting sick again, discovered a smartmeter (water) had been fitted after the previous tenant moved and unbeknown to the lettings agent. I told the water company about my then catastrophically bad health from the smartmeter and they actually removed it and fitted a dumb meter. I was later relocated by my housing association and the place has a perfectly good analogue meter. But that same water company is trying to force me into having a smartmeter, even though they have my records from the previous place and evidence. Even the WHO, part of the great reset agenda as they are, classify EMFs as class 2b carcinogens, the same as asbestos and lead and recognise electrosensitivity as an illness. Reams of evidence from scientists and medics worldwide that this technology is massively dangerous to all life is being suppressed and it is killing the environment. We are all being irradiated and people are getting sick from radiation poisoning, not some fictitious virus: that’s the cover. Nor are smartmeters green; they are toxic to all life. Electrosensitivity illness is likely at the root of most illness, especially CFS, fibromyalgia, autism, heart issues etc. Please watch the film at https://stopsmartmeters.org.uk/rt-video-documentary-wifi-refugees/

      • @MB Yes I am aware of the dangers of smart meters and EMF radiation and its part in causing serious health problems.

    • I was a 90’s teenager the last decade before phones and internet took over young people’s souls & minds, when you could still go on a night out and have a genuine good time and not give a shit about being filmed or photographed on a phone or caught on cctv. Great times but we never fully realised it at the time.

      • Ginger, me too! The 90’s was a great time to be a teenager. We had a great time, obviously got up to some mischief (as teens tend to do) and the best part of it is that there’s the square root of nada in the way of proof. Because, the internet wasn’t a thing and only yuppie types had mobile phones. Remember those! 🤣

  32. Aside from smart meters…why do people have “fully vaccinated” crap as a profile picture on facebook at times?
So they think they are being clever?…
Or just telling people how stupid they are?

    • Same as the dumb virtue signalling twats flying Ukraine flags from their homes carefully positioned for all to see, gasp in amazement at the righteous human beings they are. Poor pathetic fools 🤦🏼

    • The FDA just released more documents from the Pfizer vaccine roll out. Even the pages that weren’t redacted, there’s enough info to see just how useless and damaging their jab is. But the MSM were more bothered about a slap at the Oscars (sponsored by Pfizer) than looking into those documents.

  33. We lived in our first house for five and a half years without electricity. We had oil lamps, coal and bottled gas. Very low overheads! No standing charges, no phone, no TV. We brought up two children there. The electricty board came and cut the cables to the house. They must have thought we were milking it somehow! That was 1985. There is so much more technology available today to enable you to live off-grid. (The ‘free’ solar panel man has not been back yet to see us).

    • There is no way that the electricity board would believe that you don’t use electricity. Even if you were ‘milking it” you would still have to pay for some to avoid detection.

      • We had a garden that went up at about 45 degrees! It wasn’t really suitable for that, but our overheads were so low, we got by.
