The BBC video is a fake; in fact the BBC do not respect the intelligence of the population enough to even make a good fake. If you zoom in on the hands of Big Ben on the BBC video you can see that it “rings” around 10 seconds early (the minute hand is clearly not pointing at twelve).
I’m sure there were fireworks because of the flashes around and the glows were on the clock building. Aren’t they a lot of boring old farts. They do not like us happy do they! Well, being a boring old fart I continued my tradition of going to bed early. Gone are the fun days of Andy Stewart or The Spinners. I stopped when the TV started being crappy – and that’s a long time ago now. Some people had fireworks going off early – they didn’t last long – very windy!

Well I found myself in Reykjavík , Iceland last night. They are one of the countries that are exactly on GMT. I found a live webcam overlooking the city which began broadcasting a few hours before midnight. There was no music but we got the outside audio. From about 11:30 they kicked off a great firework display which was epic at midnight. They don`t do flashy symbols and all that jazz. It is just a great old fashioned firework display.
I used to love watching Clive James on NYE. I haven`t watched TV on NYE for many years now. I always raise a glass though at midnight wherever I happen to be.
Glad everyone had a lot of fun. That’ll show these miserable arseholes what people are really made of whatever they throw at us!

Got my flute and alto sax out yesterday and had a jam, actually felt well enough to do that, hadn’t been able to play for 2 years so had missed it terribly! Taking it very easy today as unfortunately I wasn’t well last night and also very tired today. But I’ve got loads of wonderful music in my head today which cheers me up lots! So comforting during these insane times to have something positive to focus on, and for me that’s lovely music. Ooh how I love “Just the way you are” by Billy Joel with that absolutely gorgeous alto sax solo in the middle!! Awwwwwwwwww!!!! Makes me go all gooey, gives me goose bumps! 2022 is going to be very rough I know for everyone. I’m just trying to keep my head together and not get ill with stress, so not worth it! So I’ve decided to do more music, playing piano more and my woodwind instruments to keep mentally coping. We’ve all got to do something like that as we only get one life, and we all deserve to be happy! So get out there and do what makes you happy! Don’t let this shitty government ruin your lives! The footage Hugo is showing is live right by Big Ben and nothing happened so I suspect the bbc video used old footage and had the guy in it as the live part.

I am sure the BBC faked what was shown on TV, but I also question this footage as I understand that big Ben’s has only got one illuminated face at the moment due to the on going restoration.

This footage of Big Ben was taken at a great height and zoomed in. Who has that sort of access in the current climate ? This is fake news.

I’ve recently spoke to someone who was there and doesn’t remember the bells ringing. Got sent another video from a friend on a balcony at midnight and in the background were loads of fireworks. So I don’t know what to make of it.
The BBC video is a fake; in fact the BBC do not respect the intelligence of the population enough to even make a good fake. If you zoom in on the hands of Big Ben on the BBC video you can see that it “rings” around 10 seconds early (the minute hand is clearly not pointing at twelve).
Also, if you look carefully on the bridge when the fireworks were deployed you’ll see that the people on the bridge don’t move at all. Well weird!

I’m sure there were fireworks because of the flashes around and the glows were on the clock building. Aren’t they a lot of boring old farts. They do not like us happy do they! Well, being a boring old fart I continued my tradition of going to bed early. Gone are the fun days of Andy Stewart or The Spinners. I stopped when the TV started being crappy – and that’s a long time ago now. Some people had fireworks going off early – they didn’t last long – very windy!

Well I found myself in Reykjavík , Iceland last night. They are one of the countries that are exactly on GMT. I found a live webcam overlooking the city which began broadcasting a few hours before midnight. There was no music but we got the outside audio. From about 11:30 they kicked off a great firework display which was epic at midnight. They don`t do flashy symbols and all that jazz. It is just a great old fashioned firework display.
I used to love watching Clive James on NYE. I haven`t watched TV on NYE for many years now. I always raise a glass though at midnight wherever I happen to be.
Glad everyone had a lot of fun. That’ll show these miserable arseholes what people are really made of whatever they throw at us!

I had a relaxing and restful one thank you, and I’m really thrilled to say that I was able to eat my Christmas dinner and I played some music too! Got my flute and alto sax out yesterday and had a jam, actually felt well enough to do that, hadn’t been able to play for 2 years so had missed it terribly! Taking it very easy today as unfortunately I wasn’t well last night and also very tired today. But I’ve got loads of wonderful music in my head today which cheers me up lots! So comforting during these insane times to have something positive to focus on, and for me that’s lovely music. Ooh how I love “Just the way you are” by Billy Joel with that absolutely gorgeous alto sax solo in the middle!! Awwwwwwwwww!!!! Makes me go all gooey, gives me goose bumps! 2022 is going to be very rough I know for everyone. I’m just trying to keep my head together and not get ill with stress, so not worth it! So I’ve decided to do more music, playing piano more and my woodwind instruments to keep mentally coping. We’ve all got to do something like that as we only get one life, and we all deserve to be happy! So get out there and do what makes you happy! Don’t let this shitty government ruin your lives! I’ve been tending the birds gradually – full time yesterday with a bit of vegetable seedling things going on in the greenhouse. Felt much happier getting back to things, but a tendency to overdo it. But am OK today, so improving with leaps and bounds. I do hope you have a great 2022.
