I have said for a long time since we left the clutches of the Catholic church that religion of all strains was invented by the rulers to control the peasants with fear of something that could only exist in their minds. In the modern world where education has allowed more people to think and work out the truth of our existence without fear of a thereafter. When your dead you are dead and there is no spiritual existence whatever they have tried to make believe. There can be no other evil than a government that denies people the right to have a last conversation with a dying person they have loved.
