I went in a jewellers shop in my town recently to buy a watch and they had a notice on the door about still wearing a mask. I would have boycotted the shop but we had no alternative shop so I went in and said I wanted to buy a watch what was in the window but I do not wear a mask. The lady said it would be ok and sold me the watch and I didn’t wear a mask at all. If she had insisted I would have walked out. We really must not give in to these tyrants. Do not comply.

This is truly appalling behaviour from the Head- Forget about the child’s behaviour. He sounds like he has deep personal issues. His photo shows a non-clean shaven man that I’d expect to see nursing a bottle of whiskey. The mum might be too dependent on legislation and rules. Perhaps she could take a different approach instead, such as Common Law and basic human rights. I think the legal quotations are a quagmire that are subject to change by those who don’t have our best interests at heart.
I also requested his risk assessment and details of insurance to specifically cover the use of face masks.
He didn’t have the courtesy to respond personally, instead having Pat McKelvey Director of Schools write a letter that had nothing to do with the letter I wrote. His response was to send me some links to the Department of Health (HSE) website which contains no information pertaining to my queries.
It was the most ignorant reply to a letter I have ever received.

I have sent the headmaster ( Kevin Flanagan – schooloffice@psf.wirral.sch.uk ) an email of complaint whist giving my opinion about his behaviour towards this boy. If you write to him pls don’t be abusive but you have the right to be firm in your complaint.
Everyone is exempt from wearing masks, the words “I am exempt” should be the first words out of your mouth if anyone questions you, YOU don’t have to prove anything to anyone about exemption.

2. Written Complaint to the Board of Governor’s. (Discipline Hearing)
3. Written Complaint to the local Education Authority. (should be sacked)
4. Written Complaint to the local MP. (ask them to contact school)
5. Written Complaint to the Association of Head Teachers. (Investigate attitude and discrimination)
6. Written Complaint to the Teachers Union. (Check the man is insured for legal claim)
7. Written Complaint to the current UK Education Secretary. (Copies of letters to the above)

Hi this boy is not alone. My daughter goes to this school (year 7) and does not want to wear a mask. She has received the same isolation. On Friday 1st of October she returned home from school freezing cold, with sore legs after being sat in a chair all day without moving. She ate no lunch, kids were in and out of the room all day saying they felt sick, were upset or had been hurt. This head teacher will not listen to parents at all, he is obnoxious. He blindly believes that masks work and will not consider even reading the mask studies. We have pointed out that he cannot just mask up the children as and when he feels like it but he doesn’t want to know and is backed up fully by the head of year 7. Masks have been dropped since Tuesday 5th October but he has stated if cases go up he will reinstate the masks.
He’s following the agenda and won’t take no as a answer following the scripted doing as he is told. Same as employers. I’m a mother in a worse situation than this mother. I did what you are all suggesting. I wrote a letter to the school, urging my concerns and removed him from Trinity Academy Newcastle. Within hours the police were at my door, then the social services. He was taken from me and was placed in the care of my sister, Jayne Roberts of Love Nursing and put in Cloughwood Academy without any of my consent. I did try to physically get him back which resulted in me being beaten up by the transport police and thrown in isolation for 6 hours with no right of habus corpus. I haven’t seen my son since the covid plandemic hit back in 2020. No one from Social Services has written to me, no one from my “family” will speak to this antivaxx weirdo. The system has my son on hard lockdown and no one will communicate with me. I don’t even know if he’s alive or dead. Welcome to the new world disorder. My daughter is in secondary school and exempt. We told them the masks make her anxious. No questions asked and she is treated normally as are the other exempt kids. Pretty lucky with this school. The deputy head let slip to me she doesn’t like all these measures.

Just awful for this child. Under equality law a reasonable adjustment must be made though it’s questionable whether teaching Ethan in isolation could be legally considered a “reasonable adjustment”.

Make a formal complaint to the school. Speak to your MP. Report the head teacher to Ofstead. Talk to a solicitor that specialises in human rights law.

I have sent the headmaster ( Kevin Flanagan – schooloffice@psf.wirral.sch.uk ) an email of complaint whist giving my opinion about his behaviour towards this boy. If you write to him pls don’t be abusive but you have the right to be firm in your complaint.
Everyone is exempt from wearing masks, the words “I am exempt” should be the first words out of your mouth if anyone questions you, YOU don’t have to prove anything to anyone about exemption.
I have lost count of the places I’ve had to leave because of the sane thing , I has a massive row with a security guard at an amazon depot when I had to go for a drugs and alcohol test he eventually brought me a used visor
And I’ve been thrown out of a factory where I was sent for a job
I sent them a letter they said I should have pre warned them
She needs to write a letter send it to the school board keep a copy tell them they are discriminating and you are willing to take it further tell them they have 3 weeks to reply
If they don’t reply in writing then you have to take them to court yourself , it costs £400+ unless you get benefits ( that’s the reason I didn’t) plenty of advice on fb groups good luck
This is disgusting discrimination of a vulnerable child and harassment of the parent which I am sure is ILLEGAL. Thanks to someone who posted a link above I have viewed the school website in much detail and make some suggestions. (Unsure the mum is reading this?)
1. Additional written Legal Warning Notice to the Head Teacher. (Talk about legal claim)
2. Written Complaint to the Board of Governor’s. (Discipline Hearing)
3. Written Complaint to the local Education Authority. (should be sacked)
4. Written Complaint to the local MP. (ask them to contact school)
5. Written Complaint to the Association of Head Teachers. (Investigate attitude and discrimination)
6. Written Complaint to the Teachers Union. (Check the man is insured for legal claim)
7. Written Complaint to the current UK Education Secretary. (Copies of letters to the above)
Ironic the school have a long PDF on how to treat children with medical conditions.
Seems this man thinks is running a Borstal with young offenders not a vital education facility when children learn and SOCIALISE TOGETHER. Home Education will isolate the child more. Removal of the current HeadMaster is more sensible.

Should have been taken out of school last March. Forever would be better close them dowm I’m exempt because I said. Should be out in nature healing and enjoying the seasons and eating the food the land provides. Fuck the system. Hopefully collapses soon, let’s get some self respect back
We need to stop using exemptions and excuses – just don’t comply. Claiming exemptions does NOT change the situation for anyone else and it does NOT address the core problem. Please stand up for your fellow humans and just say NO.

Yes this is discrimination, but I don’t think that is the most disturbing aspect of this situation. It would appear that this boy is alone in not wearing a mask. Is it the case that all the other parents with children in the school are prepared to see them damaged by the grotesque requirement of their being forced to wear these masks? The damages of mask-wearing have been proven. No parent should allow this to happen to their child!
Hi this boy is not alone. My daughter goes to this school (year 7) and does not want to wear a mask. She has received the same isolation. On Friday 1st of October she returned home from school freezing cold, with sore legs after being sat in a chair all day without moving. She ate no lunch, kids were in and out of the room all day saying they felt sick, were upset or had been hurt. This head teacher will not listen to parents at all, he is obnoxious. He blindly believes that masks work and will not consider even reading the mask studies. We have pointed out that he cannot just mask up the children as and when he feels like it but he doesn’t want to know and is backed up fully by the head of year 7. Masks have been dropped since Tuesday 5th October but he has stated if cases go up he will reinstate the masks.
He’s following the agenda and won’t take no as a answer following the scripted doing as he is told. Same as employers. If they bring in the mask mandates again they will obligedly follow the agenga without question. These employers believe everything there told on the news. Better of away from school. I’m a mother in a worse situation than this mother. I did what you are all suggesting. I wrote a letter to the school, urging my concerns and removed him from Trinity Academy Newcastle. Within hours the police were at my door, then the social services. He was taken from me and was placed in the care of my sister, Jayne Roberts of Love Nursing and put in Cloughwood Academy without any of my consent. I did try to physically get him back which resulted in me being beaten up by the transport police and thrown in isolation for 6 hours with no right of habus corpus. I haven’t seen my son since the covid plandemic hit back in 2020. No one from Social Services has written to me, no one from my “family” will speak to this antivaxx weirdo. The system has my son on hard lockdown and no one will communicate with me. I don’t even know if he’s alive or dead. Welcome to the new world disorder. My daughter is in secondary school and exempt. We told them the masks make her anxious. No questions asked and she is treated normally as are the other exempt kids. Pretty lucky with this school. The deputy head let slip to me she doesn’t like all these measures.
Leaving aside freedom of choice (how silly of me to even mention that) the headmaster is guilty of a lot of things here, yes misconduct of course, but also bullying and victamisation etc.
This king of behaviour from teachers was comonplace decades ago but I though it had finally been wiped out by the millenium.
The Mum needs to report him to his superiors and the school governers though she might not get any help there if the govenors are bed wetters who think Ethan is puttimng their little snowflakes at danger.
Citizens Advice to guide her in the direction of legal help might be another option. Because of the current climate it won’t be easy for her, she will have to stay strong.

I removed my child from this School because of this headteacher. He gave exactly the same treatment to my son. Placing him in isolation, screaming at him, abusing his power & telling my son that he would write a bad report so that he wouldn’t get in to the School he was wanting to move to. This School needs to be held to account & Mr Flanagan needs to be removed as head.
Just awful for this child. Under equality law a reasonable adjustment must be made though it’s questionable whether teaching Ethan in isolation could be legally considered a “reasonable adjustment”.
Disgraceful. We’re all fucking exempt anyway the government has failed to provide proof that any virus has been isolated and therefore even exists. There is nothing to isolate from except insanity.

The behaviour of the head teacher is disgusting. Not only should the governors TERMINATE HIS CONTRACT, but he should be STRUCK OFF and never allowed to enter a school building again. Also as you said no one needs to wear a facemask (even according to the government guidelines) and there has never been a need for anyone to wear an exemption lanyard (no reason for an exemption was ever required)
