This reminds me of where I live All school closed recently as there was a fire in a factory the day before that wasn’t anywhere any schools. I found that rather bizarre their excuse the schools couldn’t have their windows closed as the council have requested schools to keep their windows all open Cus of the old Kung flu 🤦🏻♀️ Then after the fire that was miles away everyone ordered to keep their windows closed. I give up with BS. My windows get opened and closed at my disquisition no open tells me when to open and close them!!

Those spiders have been around a long time. I even had them in my greenhouse – not an issue. I even rescue house spiders in my hand. I’ve only been pounced on by a tiny white crab spider while trying to pick him off a busy pavement, its fangs weren’t long enough to harm, although I did get a slight tingle. I guess if you are allergic then perhaps, but it is quite rare – a bit like dying from sars cov 19. Most spiders don’t even have fangs long enough to penetrate human skin. Now other insects yes. Mostly the false widows in my greenhouse stayed underneath the paving slabs, or drip trays. They like to keep themselves to themselves. Shutting down a school is pathetic. What next – a grass snake looking for a nice spot to hibernate – panic panic panic.

In 2018 at least 11 schools in East London and 1 in Northampton closed due to false widdow spider infestations. I found that a bit strange then, all the pictures in the press looked very staged.
Its spider breeding season ! There’s some HUGE ones in my house – harmless !
I Had one run over my face in bed 😮 shit myself ,but again HARMLESS.
